Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing them as friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable, with one noting the calm way allergy questions were handled. Named dishes include pancakes with blueberries and turkey bacon, the Avo go go, and an afternoon tea one group called the best for flavour they had tried. The coffee and rose tea also earn praise, along with the conservatory seating and the music. The criticism is specific. One reviewer found the service disorganised, with staff seeming busy elsewhere, and the coffee disappointing. Another waited a while for drinks during a busy brunch. One felt the eggs Benedict had eggs between runny and well done and a dry muffin. One diner called the prices lumpy after getting one slice of bacon when two were requested. One reviewer advises booking ahead. Several describe how families and dog owners are treated: cold carrots and plastic cups for babies, and a comfy bed, water bowl and treats for a visiting poodle.

“The food was lovely and we really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the coffee and service were a little disappointing. The service felt quite disorganised, and at times it seemed staff were focused on other tasks rather than attending to customers. I believe I met the owner, who was seated at a table calling staff over, which added to the overall impression. It’s a shame, as the food was great, but the service didn’t quite match. Hopefully this was just an off day.”

“Honestly blown away by the service at Lord Roberts! My husband and I came in for breakfast and from the moment we arrived, the staff were absolutely incredible so genuinely friendly, welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious, beautifully cooked and we enjoyed every bit of it, but what really stood out was the service. Everyone was so lovely and made us feel incredibly welcome. It’s rare to come across somewhere where the whole experience is this good. We left so impressed and will 100% be coming back. Amazing food, amazing staff and such a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend! ❤️”
