About Casa Brasil Portsmouth
Casa Brasil Portsmouth is a Brazilian restaurant at 44-45 The Boardwalk in Portsmouth, built around all-you-can-eat rodizio barbecue. Gaúchos bring skewered meats round to the table and carve them in front of diners, and each guest has a card to turn green for more meat or red for a break. The meats include sweet chilli turkey and chorizo sausage, and cinnamon pineapple comes round with them. A cold salad bar and hot sides sit alongside the barbecue, and a dessert bar finishes the meal. The restaurant has views over the marina. Groups of four or more can request a free birthday meal in advance through the website.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the rodizio meats brought round on skewers, with the cinnamon pineapple named repeatedly as a standout and the sweet chilli turkey and leg of lamb singled out by others. Close behind are the salad bar, hot sides such as fried fish and chips and Brazilian rice, and a dessert selection with fresh fruit. Many describe friendly, attentive staff who fuss over children, and several mention the red and green card that controls when more meat arrives. Birthday visits come up often, and a few say a free birthday meal needs a table of four or more. The main criticism is quality and cost: one diner found the steak still rare, the chicken dry and the gammon too salty to eat, while another called the meat average and the salad and dessert bar small. Drinks are not refilled and are not cheap, according to one regular. One reviewer who celebrated a late father's birthday was given a free meal by their server.

“Very impressed with the price, fantastic service. 9 of us went to celebrate what would have been my dad’s 55th birthday today. Sadly my dad passed away 2 years ago so to celebrate him, we decided to go to Casa Brasil and I’m so pleased we did! Phillip, our server, was fantastic. He asked if we were celebrating a birthday, I explained the situation and he let us know on birthdays you get a free meal, and to honour my dad, he gave us a free meal. Such a lovely touch made the experience even more lovely. They were all very helpful and the meat was hot and freshly cooked. I could not recommend this place enough. We cannot wait to return! We could not believe how good the price was for the amount of food we recieved. Also, my grandad is disabled and in a wheelchair. They were extremely helpful with him.”

“This a place to visit if you like all you can eat. the food is truly amazing and you will go away feeling full there is a wide range to choose from. there is a salad bar then the hot mains then the meat starts to come round some many different ones to have all cut inform of you they keep coming until you have had enough then you can move on to the puddings which again are very nice . We are always made to feel so welcome in the restraint by the team and they love our kids make such a special fuss of them both. cant say enough good things about the whole team they deliver 100% customer service all of the time everytime”

“First visit, unfortunately I found it to be overpriced and not all-that-good. The meat(s) was just average, nothing special. The side dishes were strangely served in small dishes for the entire table. The salad and dessert bar was very small with little variety.”
