About AMURI - Bella Calabria
AMURI Bella Calabria is an Italian restaurant on London Road in Portsmouth, where the menu moves from bruschetta and other appetizers through pasta, including carbonara and a seafood pasta, alongside pizzas, and closes with desserts served as a multi-course meal. The room is run for seated dining, and the kitchen leans on familiar Italian preparations across the starter, main, and sweet stages of the meal. A braille menu is available on request for guests who need it. Hotel staff in the area point guests here, and the restaurant sits close to the road in the same stretch as the surrounding Portsmouth streets.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the carbonara, with several calling it absolutely delicious, while others name the seafood pasta and pizzas as standouts. Friendly staff and great service come up repeatedly across visits, including from travelers stopping in before the ferry. One reviewer, however, describes a very different meal, calling the carbonara the worst they have ever had and criticizing the olives and bruschetta as poor.

“worst italian meal i have ever had!! The chef must have no taste buds as it was the most bland carbonara i have ever tasted-using cream that was old. Marinated olives straight out of a jar with a sprinkle of mixed herbs!!! Brushetta was only just passable as i was hungry!!! went for a greek straight after and was not dissapointed.”
