Customer Review Summary
Haggis fritters are the dish reviewers raise most, with one calling them the highlight and another pairing them with battered garlic mushrooms. Close behind are the fish and chips, praised for a fantastic batter, and the Sunday roast, described as flavorful and generous even in the smaller serving. A half portion steak pie, burgers with chips, cheesecake of the day, affogato and sticky toffee pudding with custard also get mentioned, along with a vegan menu. Reviewers describe massive portions, hot food and a homely, welcoming atmosphere, and several single out friendly, quick servers and a spotless toilet. One reviewer found the burger meat a touch overcooked, and another notes that people who arrived after them without a reservation could not get a table, so that reviewer suggests reserving. One diner thanks the staff for folding up a husband's wheelchair and putting it in the boot of the car in the wind and rain.

“We had the Sunday roast today, a mix of beef and turkey with all the trimmings. I had the smaller serving and that was very generous. We followed this with the cheesecake of the day which my husband demolished and thoroughly enjoyed and I had affogato for the first time, absolutely delicious! The serving staff are so lovely, very friendly, polite and welcoming 10 out of 10 🌟 The surroundings are immaculate and relaxing. The ladies toilet is spotless and very classy. Not our first time here and won’t be the last.”

“Lunch for two today and just have to thank the staff for being so kind and helpful especially in helping my husband to the car in the wind and rain. Special thanks for folding up his wheelchair and popping it into the boot for me. Much appreciated.”
