Customer Review Summary

Steak anchors the praise, with diners describing a well cooked Boston steak with red wine jus, a delicious filet, and an 8 ounce sirloin with chefs greens and mashed potatoes. Close behind are starters of pork ribs, tempura prawns, and prawn with pork belly, along with a duck breast in cherry sauce topped with popcorn that one diner calls playful, jumping from sweet to salty. Reviewers also mention tasty, quite potent bramble cocktails and homemade Biscoffi cheesecake and creme brulee. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, including on busy Friday and pre-Christmas evenings, and the atmosphere is described as lovely and vintage. Complaints are few but specific. One diner found the plate too busy with two sauces on the steak, one reports employees drinking alcohol at the bar after finishing work and calls it unprofessional, and another regrets that the menu hasn't changed in so long. One reviewer ended the meal with an affogato, calling it an ideal pick me up.

“Great place for late night dining, good location and nice atmosphere, a bit pricey but the food was worth it. The only thing that seemed strange and quite unprofessional to me was the employees sitting at the bar and drinking alcohol after finishing work. Apart from this one thing, it's definitely a place worth visiting.”
