About Agra Palace
Agra Palace is an Indian restaurant in Nuneaton, on Abbey Green, cooking Indian and Bangladeshi dishes since 1990. The kitchen works with fresh ingredients and sources locally where it can. The menu includes Lamb Shank Nihari and Hyderabadi lamb, with chicken tikka masala for those who want a familiar curry house order. The restaurant is open daily, evenings only. It also has its own house beer, Agra Cadabra, so diners can pair the food with a drink made for the restaurant.

Customer Review Summary
Lamb draws the most specific praise. One diner describes the Lamb Shank Nihari as tender enough that the meat fell off the bone, and another calls a Hyderabadi lamb the highlight of their meal. Close behind are the chicken tikka masala, the mixed starters, fresh popadoms and garlic and cheese naan, while the food overall is repeatedly called fantastic. Staff are described as friendly and efficient, with several saying nothing was too much trouble. A few mention good value for money and the restaurant's own beer, Agra cadabra. The one real reservation comes from a reviewer who found some chicken chewy and not as fresh as hoped, and the cheese, garlic and chilli naan small and tasteless. That same reviewer still called the decor and waiters nice and would return, though not in a hurry. Another group of ten was seated at 10pm on short notice.

“I have been dining at the Agra Palace every Monday since October 2025 whilst away on business. Over this time I have probably tried everything on the menu and I have never been disappointed as the food is just fantastic. The staff are always very welcoming and attentive and such a friendly atmosphere, so much so that I always look forward to my Monday evenings in Nuneaton. Just ask for Naz and I can guarantee that you will be well looked after..!!!”

“Came in hungry, left questioning every life choice that didn’t involve eating here sooner. Food was that good I considered licking the plate—but remembered I was in public and not feral (just). Staff treated me like royalty, naan bread nearly made me emotional, and the curry hit harder than my bank account after payday. 10/10. Bring stretchy trousers.”

“Always a fantastic meal from the Agra. I've tried a few Indian restaurants and takeaways in the area and the Agra is by far the best quality and value for money. Quite a few friends have switched their custom the the Agra Palace too. Never had a bad meal from these guys. Definitely recommended”

“Nuneaton's most popular Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant established 1990. The restaurant serves popular and modern dishes using fresh and, where possible, locally sourced ingredients. The restaurant has been recently decorated to a very high standard, and the modern decor and ambience add to a vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant is very popular and it is highly recommended to book in advance during the peak periods, although walk in customers are always accommodated.”
