About Casa Italian & Seafood Restaurant
Casa Italian & Seafood Restaurant is an Italian restaurant in Nottingham, on Upper Parliament St, with a menu built around seafood. The ravioli comes in lobster, crab and ricotta versions, and seafood spaghetti sits beside it as a second pasta built on seafood. The kitchen opens daily and serves evenings only, so the restaurant does not run a daytime service. Dessert is a separate course on the menu, and tiramisu is one of the choices.

Customer Review Summary
Seafood pasta dishes anchor the praise at Casa, with reviewers naming the seafood linguine, a seafood spaghetti and the carbonara as standouts. Close behind are the lasagne, called the best one a reviewer had tasted, the sea bass, the Medaglione al Tartufo beef, and desserts like the lemon torte, tiramisu and crème brulée. Portions are described as generous, though the lobster ravioli left one diner wanting more, and another notes the ravioli runs smaller than other dishes. Small complaints recur around specifics: the garlic bread is a small portion according to one reviewer, the fried calamari was rubbery to another, and a longtime regular says the fish in the Tagliatelle Montecarlo was swapped from monkfish to something less impressive. One diner felt it missed the Italian touch of dining in Italy. Staff are called friendly and attentive, with waiters explaining dishes and recommending the beef. Several reviewers describe celebrations marked with a free anniversary dessert and a Happy Birthday gesture.

“Had the Medaglione al Tartufo which was recommended by one of the (all lovely) waiters. It was the nicest beef I have ever eaten. Just outstanding. Many thanks for a wonderful meal.”

“This is my new favourite place. It's stylish with out the pomp. Main course is £20-30 but they don't skimp on the portion size. We had the seafood linguine and stew, both were delicious. The dessert menu has something for everyone. The atmosphere is perfect. If you've not been I'd highly recommend it. There is a car park opposite the restaurant.”

“Love this restaurant. Great service, friendly staff and the best lasagne I've ever tasted. Husband enjoyed the chicken cacciatore and the crème brulée. The lasagne was so filling that I was unable to eat a dessert. Large choice on the menu.”

“The atmosphere and the decor in there is really nice. Staff was knowledgeable as well and remembered the drink I had so I had another. Service was fast and staff very friendly. Food was amazing. I've been here twice and it's been great both times. I think I had some kind of seafood spaghetti the first time - loved it. This time I had the lobster ravioli which was nice but I wish there was more. I guess it was smaller because lobster tends to be more expensive but the garlic bread made up the difference.”

“Had a lovely meal at Casa Italian. The pumpkin risotto was rich and tasty, and the 8 oz steak was cooked perfectly. Friendly staff and a nice atmosphere — would happily return!”
