  “This used to be a decent reasonably priced place for food. Sadly, it has gone down hill over the past year. Portion sizes are quite small now and prices are on the high side. The variety of meals is also rather lacking. I don’t think I’ll bother returning again.”

  “3 stars given purely because my partners breakfast was decent. Mine however was supposed to be a sausage sandwich, but turned out to be a surprise bacon one. The waitress offered to change it but considering how long it had taken to come I let it go. Sadly the bacon was rock hard, and the brown bread more like cardboard. Also a shame the coffee machine was broken. The service was very slow considering there were only 24 people in there including us. Not sure I’ll be back”

  “Unfortunately the WORST breakfast I have ever had and not particularly cheap at that. One of everything, not well cooked, sausage about 6cm long (though tasted ok), egg overdone, truly horrible tinned mushroom and all presented on a cold plate. I certainly will never eat here again. Oh, and the coffee was rubbish too!”

  “Excellent customer service. Had a full veggie breakfast with a rosy lee. Was served right away food was hot made perfect. Staff are polite and helpful. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all the staff”

  “Fantastic roast dinners 1 turkey 1 beef roast pot brilliant, roast parsnips good, carrots and cauli cheese and gravy really good, green beans yuk but only cause i dont like them. Food hot, freshly cooked and quickly served. We will be back. Thank you”

  “If you read my other reviews I seldom give a low score but Magnolias deserves it and i will explain why. I arrived at 1040 on a Thursday morning and was 3rd in line to be served. There were 5 people serving with 3 of them just chatting by the coffee machine. No greeting or " we will be with you shortly" the other two looked busy doing nothing. After around 4 minutes one of them deigned to actually serve someone. So I was now 2nd in line. After a further amount of minutes I was still waiting and realised that this was not a place worthy of my custom or cash. So I placed my tray back in the stack and left. I can see why it has a low score and can only recommend you have your wisdom pulled out with no anaesthetic before you give this place your custom.”

  “Need customer service training asap. No warm greeting, lots of waitresses milling about not serving. We waited 45 minutes for food whilst watching everyone else after us getting their breakfasts. We eventually went and enquired only to be told their was an issue with the till. Come on! Won't be returning. Gone downhill.”

  “I got very lucky with my timings as it was gloriously sunny as I stopped for an early lunch. Magnolias Restaurant was already getting busy so I headed outside to bask in the sun. The food was a good standard and the staff were very friendly”

  “Good garden with a very nice cafe. Quite often, go to the garden centre and stop in the cafe for lunch or a cream tea and have not yet been disappointed with the food. However, it is a bit on the pricey side, and when busy service can be a bit slow but that can be expected. The cafe is nicely laid out with a small outside seating area and has free WiFi. Today, our server was Cassandra, a very nice young lady, very friendly on arrival, as were the other staff and excellent service.”

  “Cappuccino was bean to cup at £3.00 not good enough, half cm of floating like substance on the top. Staff should know their coffees if you are going to offer a range. Scone was too salty, and over cooked, again at £3.00 this didn’t offer value with plastic pot of jam (it was jelly) should also note the Ivy’s afternoon tea is only a pound more !!!! And a dog walked through the prep area…..which is one thing but all the staff fussing it is another.”
