About Northwood Piazza
Family-run and narrow, Northwood Piazza is an Italian restaurant on Green Ln in Northwood, with the owners and manager on hand. A "Wall of Fame" of regulars' pictures hangs in the dining room, a record of the guests who come back. The menu pairs pizzas, including a smoked salmon and avocado pizza, with pasta dishes such as ravioli. Zucchini fritti is among the starters, and daily Specials run alongside the regular menu. Extra tables upstairs are used for private events, which gives larger groups space to gather. The restaurant opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

Reviewers most often mention pizza, daily specials, ravioli aurora and white pizza.
Customer Review Summary
Pizza draws the most mention, from a vegetarian pizza with real heat and a white pizza generous with cheese to one topped with smoked salmon and avocado, plus a tricolore described as tasty. Pastas come close behind, with ravioli aurora singled out, alongside grills, fish, desserts and daily specials. Several describe a very warm, friendly welcome and a lively, busy room, and one notes hearing Italian spoken. Opinions on the food split, though. One reviewer calls the pizzas average, another found the minestrone off putting, the mushrooms swamped in cheese sauce and the zucchini fritti soggy, and a third called the food bland. One diner was disappointed by the portion on a special and says staff rudely dismissed the complaint, while another describes unfriendly staff giving uncomfortable looks. One reviewer reports feeling discriminated against when the chef greeted every other table but theirs. Vegetarian choices were called limited, since the salads contained meat or fish. Longtime regulars add that the family-run owners will find a table even on very short notice.

“Disappointed portion size for their £24 special, yet we were rudely shut down when complaining about the size. We weren’t asking for a big size, but the fact the lady tried arguing the substandard portion size was unsatisfactory entirely ruined our meal. The pizza was lovely, but the staff’s reaction combined with a past negative experience at this restaurant means we cannot see ourselves returning.”

“I went to try the so called northwood piazza, personally I wouldn't call it a piazza. More like scam centre. The food was bland and tastless. The water tasted the best. The staff were unfriendly and kept giving me and my kids uncomfortable looks. I will not be returning!”

“Visiting Northwood area our host recommended this lively, busy restaurant. Food was hot ( both heat and mine was spicy too - maybe just a little too spicy for a pasta dish) but delicious. Lots of choices. Delicious. Very warm and friendly welcome. Service was attentive. Great atmosphere.”
