  “Ordered the chicken mandi, pothichoru, and kappa biriyani, but unfortunately, none of them were worth the high price. The food tasted bland overall. The chicken mandi was heavily covered in artificial food color, and the pothichoru had a disproportionate, overwhelming amount of rice. Expected much better quality for the price paid.”

  “The food was delivered for our meeting and it was excellent. Everything was fresh, tasty, and well prepared. The team was very helpful throughout the ordering and delivery process. Everyone enjoyed the food, and it was a great way to share and celebrate Kerala cuisine and culture. I would highly recommend them for catering and group events.”

  “The food we ordered Mutton biryani, was splendid, the first place that I could get and taste real biryani. The only problem was the meat was very tough. It should be tender.but overall the food was excellent. The DOSA was delicious. I will continously order from KERALA HUT, so I can have the opportunity to taste real south indian dishes. My favourite being lamb liver, and masala PROMFRET. I WILL NOT HESITATE IN RECOMMENDING KERALA HUT TO ALL MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY. THANKS FOR THE EXCELLENT AND DELICIOUS FOOD. WHICH MADE MY DAY.”

  “Been to Kerala Hut in Luton before and honestly it just wasn’t it. Gave it another shot in Northampton and it was SO worth it! Best Kerala food I’ve had in a while. We had the kanthari kappa with beef, the kudukachi biriyani and the chatti chor.. every single dish was rich in flavour and tasted amazing. Couldn’t get enough, especially the kanthari kappa and the chatti chor. 🫶🏻 Ended it with a good cup of chai 🤎 Amazing experience overall. Would 100% go back!”

  “It's a very long drive to this location for us however whenever I felt craving to have good Kerala food, regardless of the distance we have made it a point to come here and eat, this branch particularly as other branches are not as good. Have tried the Pothichoru and Meen pollichathu a few times and loved it, the Meen Pollichathu was made very well, flavours and spices seeped into the dish really well. The Beef Dry Fry and Kizhi Porotta I really liked (both were heavy and filling), family members liked the biriyani and porotta too. We ordered lassi or mango juice I think, the quantity was a lot but that was nice too. Can't remember whether the curry was Varutharachathu or Chettinad but that was good too. If you like spicy South Indian food I'd definitely recommend Kerala Hut, strictly the Northampton branch and not anywhere else! If I had to suggest an improvement, I would like the lighting to be improved as it doesn't look very well lit, and some good Malayalam movie songs to be played to represent Kerala.”

  “I recently visited this South Indian restaurant and had a mixed experience. The chicken soup was excellent – warm, flavorful, and definitely a highlight. The kappa biriyani was also good, with a nice balance of taste and texture. However, the rest of the meal didn’t meet expectations. The sambar and chutney served with the ghee roast were disappointing and lacked the authentic flavor I was hoping for. The beef roast was below average, missing the richness and spice that usually define the dish. Overall, while there were a couple of standout items, the food wasn’t as tasty as expected. With some improvements, especially in consistency and flavor balance, this place could be much better.”

  “Visited Kerala Hut recently and had a pleasant experience overall. The food took a little over 10 minutes to arrive, but it was worth the wait. The portions were generous, and the taste was definitely above average—authentic and flavourful. The restaurant has good seating capacity and a pleasant ambience, making it a comfortable place to dine. Service was attentive and friendly throughout our visit. Clean washbasins and well-maintained toilets were a plus. The only downside is the parking—it can be a bit challenging, so plan ahead if you're driving. All in all, a solid choice for anyone craving Kerala cuisine in Northampton.”
