Customer Review Summary
The Sunday roast draws the most consistent praise, with reviewers repeatedly singling out the roast beef and veggie roast as generous and well cooked, often paired with a long list of vegetable sides. Close behind, diners highlight starters and mains from an evening menu, oxtail croquettes and pork belly bites followed by venison, mussels and t-bone steak, alongside a pie night that one couple called their first of several return visits. Several reviewers travelling from further afield or on holiday note the dog-friendly welcome and the countryside walk in from Decoy Park, and the setting near thatched cottages and an old church comes up more than once. Staff are consistently described as friendly and accommodating, with multiple reviewers saying they'd return. One reviewer flagged "a few small details to tweak" in an otherwise positive family meal, though without specifying what those were.

“My partner and I along with our two dogs were made most welcome. It was Sunday, so we both opted for the roast beef dinner. The meal was excellent all round. There was a large variety of vegetables, in all there were 11 components to the meal, none of which were a disappointment. There had been no skimping on portion size. An excellent and filling meal in lovely rustic surroundings served at the bar and table by excellent staff. Really worth a visit.”
