  “Very impressed with Ellie who took complaints about one meal seriously and arranged that we weren’t charged for the main course. She listened, expressed genuine concern and dealt with the complaint so that we felt very satisfied with the outcome. Throughout our meal she was attentive and had a warm , friendly manner. All the staff were helpful but Ellie was exceptional.”

  “Lovely friendly pub with plenty of parking. We both chose the mixed grills, and the food was great. The staff were lovely, but the service was very disjointed,and the communication between the kitchen and front of the house was poor. With people being told 10/15 minutes after ordering that that item had sold out. The place wasn't very but little things like my wife asking for mayonnaise for her chips when the meal arrived and never receiving any was a but frustrating.”

  “Retuned for evening gammon, egg and chips with a well kept pint of Peroni. Great service from attentive personable staff who ensured we had a pleasant experience .Visit for Pub Lunch , not disappointed. Warm welcome from Returned for early evening gammon and chips with a well kept pint of Peroni , great experience. Attentive service from personable staff who ensured we had a memorable visit.Mark & Harry who provided cheery attentive service throughout our stay . We enjoyed gammon steak with egg , pineapple and proper chips followed by mini dessert with excellent coffee. Good food, service and a fair price . Will be back .”

  “Overpriced for what good it serves. The burger, had two bits of lettuce, the burger, cheese and bacon. No sauce, no tomato, oven ready chips and 3 onion rings, that was £17 The curry was nearly £20 for what I would describe as a child's portion. If you are a vegan, avoid going here, they don't cater well for vegans. If they can give vegetarians chips and onion rings why can't vegan diners have them? There are better places to eat in Neston than this place, it's overpriced for what they give, it's not a gastro pub, it serves frozen food!”

  “Popped in for a quick tea without reservation. 3 adults and a dog. Was welcomed in and picked a table to suit. Great service from Harry and the team. All very chatty and helpful. Food was great. We had starters. Steak and the signature burger for mains.Even had a doggy menu which our pooch really enjoyed. All round nice and pleasant evening 😀”

  “The Hinderton Arms is located on the Chester High Road at Neston, it dates back to around 1826 and for many years was known as The.Shewsbury Arms. Always a popular pub/restaurant in the market town of Neston. Food served is delicious and the seating comfortable. A great place to go for your Sunday roast at lunchtime, the menu is varied and prices very reasonable. I have been to the Hinderton Arms on many occasions over the years, either for a pint (or two) and quite often for a meal. Staff are friendly and the service overall is very good. Strongly recommended - no problem. [Review Updated; April 2026.]”

  “I visited with close friends. We were made to feel very welcome. Service was excellent. Menu was good including vegetarian choices. The food was excellent and well cooked and presented. Dessert choices were good. We all went for the mini pudding and a drink. Great value for money. We will definitely be back.”

  “We have just been for a meal today and had a lovely experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, would especially recommend the whipped goats cheese as this was anazing. We were looked after by the lovely Leon and Harry and they were both amazing, very attentive and nothing was too much. Thanks so much, we will back again soon!”

  “Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience as the other reviewers. I will say the staff were friendly and the Manager was very good. The food arrived quite late , even though we ordered before the people behind us our food came after, and the quality of the food was that compared to the ready meals they sell in the Iceland freezer isle. Sorry it was terrible , small portion of fish and chips (cold) for 16 pounds. The fish pie looked like it was microwaved and the macaroni cheese was awful for the little one. We sent our food back as we were not going to eat that sort of food and for that price. The Manager was excellent and he cleared the bill including the drinks so we appreciate that. I think the head chef could do with a course in serving good food for that price you charge.”

  “Booked a birthday dinner for a table of 6. A very warm welcome, attentive and lovely staff, we were served by Mark, Ellie & Reece. They even went out of their way to accommodate a special request for my visually impaired father (special thanks to Mark for this) Food was stunning, I had the lamb shank shepherds pie and it was beautiful. Mains, desserts and drinks for a fabulous evening celebration. Can’t wait to come back and try the festive menu! ⭐️”
