Customer Review Summary
Food is the main draw, with diners singling out the giant burgers and huge combo starters, and one three-course meal of halloumi bites, Santa Stacked and chocolate fudge cake called a real treat. Reviewers also mention a good Peroni and a spacious room with a pleasant atmosphere. Staff are mostly described as friendly and accommodating, including through a busy family birthday. Service is the recurring complaint. One group of eight says nobody greeted them, they were ignored at the bar, and meals came out so slowly that the first person had finished before the last was served, on both nights. Another reviewer waited at the bar when it wasn't busy and heard bar staff swear, while a parent found the kids meal deal applied only when ordered at the bar, not on the app. One reviewer called the food decent pub quality for frozen food. One visitor with a companion on a blended diet found staff accommodating and helpful.

“Can't fault food or service, decided to order on the app to save time as very busy when we arrived However once we had ordered we found a leaflet with the menus saying that kids eat for 88p, no other details were available on the leaflet so I looked on the app and found out that kids do eat for 88p but only if ordered at the bar! At no time was this highlighted when we ordered a children's meal which seems a bit unfair, could have ourselves nearly £7 so disappointed”

“Very poor service. Whilst waiting at the bar to be served the female bar person while prepping another order said to the male bar person a swear word asking how to measure some wine. This of course not want I wanted to hear and first time visiting the pub . Waited around ten minutes to get served though wasn't busy. Food was nice and served within an acceptable time. Doubt we would return again.”

“Went here twice in a week for food whilst on holiday in the area. We had a booking for both nights as we needed a table for 8, when we first walked in noone greeted us to show us to table, no signs saying 'wait here to be seated' and we where ignored twice at the bar whilst waiting to find our table! The food was lovely and the value with the 88p kids meal deal was brilliant but the service wasnt great, meals where brought out so slowly that the first person had eaten all of their meal by the time the last person had even had theirs brought out. Was a long long wait between everyones meals being brought out, so much so we actually enquired if they had forgotten. This happened both nights.”

“Food was decent pub quality for "frozen" food. Peroni was good, £6:15 in price. Good little pub with a nice atmosphere.”

“Stopped here for food while supporting 2 ladies. 1 lady has a blended diet and the staff were both accommodating and helpful. Not a bad pint too!”
