About Orchard Coffeebar & Bistro
Orchard Coffeebar & Bistro is a cafe at 26-28 Orchard St in Neath, set opposite the gardens. It opens daily and serves during the daytime only. The menu covers a full cooked breakfast, panini and jacket potatoes, including a tuna and sweetcorn filling. Coffee comes with options like toffee nut. The staff and owner take requests that sit outside the menu, such as a jam sandwich for a child or a birthday treat, which makes the cafe a practical stop for families marking an occasion. The bistro side of the name points to a lunch offering alongside the morning plates.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing friendly, welcoming service that goes the extra mile, and one says the owner is always happy to go further. Food earns steady praise too. The large breakfast is described as truly large, another reviewer calls a full cooked breakfast hot and cooked to perfection, and a panini, a ham salad and a tuna and sweetcorn jacket potato are all named. The toffee nut coffee is recommended, and another reviewer calls the coffee outstanding. Diners also describe the place as very clean, with a lovely atmosphere, and note it sits opposite the gardens. The one critical reviewer, on a first visit, found the little things lacking: a hot chocolate was charged extra on a set meal, tomato sauce was limited, and black pepper did not arrive despite asking. Against that, several describe being looked after. One team made an off-menu birthday treat for a couple, and another made a jam sandwich for a four-year-old who now calls it his favourite café.

“A fabulous, friendly café that truly went above and beyond. They kindly created a special off-menu birthday treat for my partner and me, which made our celebration extra memorable. Wonderful service, lovely atmosphere, and a team that genuinely cares. Thank you!”

“Charged extra on a set meal for a hot chocolate as I don't like tea and coffee. Limit tomato sauce as if we're still in rationing after the war. No black pepper despite asking. Unexpectedly mean really. First time I'd ever been there. It's the little things that cost virtually nothing that make the difference between multiple repeat visits and never coming back. Sorry Orchard. You're definitely in the latter camp and I had such high hopes.”
