“The lady who served us and the chef were both really lovely and smiley. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered char siu fried rice and cantonese style chicken and prawn crackers. My boyfriend ordered jumbo sausage, steak and kidney pudding and chips. It was all delicious! My food was very full of flavour. Will definitely be coming back!”

I ordered a lot of food, but I honestly can’t get over how good the salt and pepper share box was — I’m glad I ordered two😂 Proper flavour, cooked right, and clearly made with care. The staff were brilliant as well. Friendly from the moment I walked in, asking how my day was going, then wishing me a Merry Christmas on the way out and even opening the door for me. It’s the little things like that that make a big difference. I’ve moved away and only recently come back home, and you can really tell the difference now that the original owners have reopened the place. After the cowboys who had it for a couple of months, it’s great to see it back in the hands of people who actually care about the food and the customers. Prices are fair — and if you want quality food, you know you’re going to pay a bit more. Well worth it. I’ll definitely be back. I don’t usually write reviews, but this was well worth the time! Can’t express how much I enjoyed it😂”

“Golden Sunrise by name but not like the original by quality or taste. Fried rice is a small portion and bland. Curry sauce has heat but little taste. Salt and pepper chicken was just deep fried chicken balls with a sprinkle of onions and peppers, no authentic salt and pepper taste. £55 order and not so much as a free prawn cracker. Disappointed and won’t be returning”

“Booked online, order confirmed with an hours wait. After an hour and a half and no delivery, rang to see why it was later. No apology, just told cooking it now, 20mins, after another half hour wait rang again. Told just cooking, 10mins, rang again after 10 mins to be told it was just leaving with the driver. Had to wait another 15mins for delivery when address was only 5 mins away. At no point was I offered an apology. Delivery was an hour and a half late. Absolutely dreadful service. Won't use them again”
