Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast dinners draw the most consistent praise, with reviewers repeatedly calling out generous portions, unlimited vegetable and potato refills, and a lamb roast and tomahawk steak cooked to perfection. Close behind, weekday breakfasts earn similar warmth, with the Full English and avocado on toast with poached eggs singled out as fresh and well judged, alongside cocktails and a white coffee. Attentive servers come up again and again as central to the experience, credited with tailoring orders and making anniversaries and family outings feel special. The picture isn't uniform, though: one visit describes a soggy bruschetta base, bland unseasoned calamari, a watery mushroom sauce, and an underwhelming cannoli, with several ordered dishes unavailable and swapped. Another details a hair found in a Linguine Bolognese, a drink charged for but never delivered, a cheesecake running out mid-order, and a manager reportedly reprimanding a staff member in front of diners, all while a £22 service charge was later removed after complaint. Despite these, most accounts close on staff going out of their way, from unprompted comped substitutions to a send-back handled without question.

“Very disappointing. After visiting Nonnas last night, I won’t be rushing back. To enter the restaurant and what looked to be the manger to be having a go at one of the members of staff, was not a good start. He then did this again to the same girl in the main restaurant. Not very professional in front of customers. I felt very sad for the girl. Once sat down, our drinks order was taken but took a long time to get to our table. This then delayed our food order being taken. This made our meal feel very disjointed. We ordered bread and oils for 5 people for a starter which was very disappointing when arrived at the table. 1 piece of bread each I don’t think was enough. When our mains come, my brother’s pasta had a hair in it. My dad ordered another drink twice during his main meal and it was never brought to the table but was added to our bill!!! Portion sizes were very small. Definitely could have had more (see picture) However, my Linguine Bolognese was very nice. We then ordered 3 desserts. 2 came to the table and to be told when the other desserts arrived, we couldn’t have cheesecake as they had run out, wasn’t good. Wasn’t good to be asked what I wanted instead, as the 2 others arrived to the table. To then receive the bill, be charged for the 2nd beer which didn’t come and to be charged a £22 service charge when things were not good and things were disjointed, I think wasn’t ok. This was taken off once we spoke to the staff and expressed our disappointment in our meal. Won’t be rushing back. Left feeling very deflated.”

“Great food, staff are very nice. It was just a shame the table was so small for the platter of food we had to feed 2 adults and a child. We end up putting things on their decorative shelves.”

“We were recommended this restaurant and it completely surpassed our expectations. The food was absolutely stunning — we had the lamb roast and it was cooked to perfection, full of flavour and beautifully presented. Our waiter, Steven, was excellent; he was incredibly attentive, friendly and nothing was ever too much of an ask. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience. A fantastic meal with exceptional service, and we will definitely be returning. Highly recommended!”

“First time visiting and we had a lovely experience. The décor was beautiful, the drink selection was fantastic, and the Sunday lunch was absolutely brilliant. A special shout-out to our server, Steven, who was so attentive and took the time to make sure we had a great experience from start to finish. We’ll definitely be returning. Thank you!”

“We pre-ordered 2days before but when arrived was told one of starters was off a special menue and they hadn't had any for 3 days this wasn't relayed to us when we put our order in. Drinks on menu weren't available and service was fairly slow. Food was nice though and staff friendly”
