Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the portions, which several call massive or double the size of other Italian restaurants nearby, alongside food described as tasty and authentic. Specific dishes named include calamari, a spag bol one diner calls divine, spicy meatballs with potatoes and veg, and veal. A vegan reviewer was offered a build-your-own pizza with vegan cheese and describes a chewy, crispy base. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and attentive, and service is described as fast. The classic, dated décor is called charming, with a real family feel. Complaints are fewer but specific. One diner's Caprese salad arrived with rocket and no basil, and the Rigatoni Toto had three small bits of chicken, too much broccoli and little flavour. That party of eight was seated in a side area they found less pleasant than the main room. Another reviewer found the waitresses disorganised, with three asking the same question, and was unhappy that staff could not explain a price difference between paying cash and paying by card.

“It’s easy to say that the amazing pizza you’re eating is the best you’ve ever had… …but I truly believe it this time. As a vegan in a traditional Italian restaurant, I was ready to ask for a marinara and expecting it to be delicious. What I did not expect was to be offered to build my own pizza AND add vegan cheese! I wish I knew what cheese they use because it was beautifully melty and flavourful. The base was chewy/crispy perfection. I think I had: olives, peppers, mushrooms, capers, chilli, in case you’re interested. The service was friendly and attentive. The ambience warm and inviting. Much bigger on the inside than it looks too! We will be back!”

“Ate here on Saturday night and was looking forward to it as heard it was great. There were 8 of us so was popped in side bit which wasn't a nice at main restaurant. Ordered a Caprese salad for start but no basil on it, only rocket which I can't stand. Then had a Rigatoni Toto , but didn't have much chicken in it 3 little bits and way too my broccoli and was very bland. Staff were very friendly too and my husband did enjoy his calamari and veal. I personally don't think I'll try it this place again soon though.”

“A hidden gem tucked away on the north side of the high street. The attentive service is a welcome reminder of a simpler time, when restaurants truly focused on customers and quality food. The dated décor is charming, giving the place a real family feel. The menu is full of classic dishes, making it genuinely hard to choose with so many great options on offer. Thank you for a wonderful evening and meal. We will definitely be back.”
