Customer Review Summary

Seafood dishes draw repeated praise, especially prawns with garlic, chilli and butter alongside crab linguine, and a fish dish singled out as fresh and perfectly seasoned. Close behind, pasta gets strong mentions, with one diner calling the carbonara the best she's had, and the calzone praised for its light, crispy dough. Several reviewers highlight personal touches, including a surprise dessert with a candle for an anniversary and a gluten-free chicken dish one diner called the best dinner they'd ever eaten. Service is consistently described as friendly and attentive, with one server named for going out of her way and another praised for his banter. A few note the cuisine leans toward a British adaptation of Italian flavors rather than something more traditional, and price comes up repeatedly as a little high, though most feel it's justified for the quality. One group mentions a small issue with their meal that staff corrected and compensated for quickly. Diners frequently describe returning for anniversaries and birthdays, with several saying it has become a new favourite.

“We sat outside in the private walled garden on a beautiful sunny day and enjoyed a really delicious lunch from the varied menu which caters well for different diets and allergies. The food was served hot and was ample and really tasty. We had a charming, helpful waitress who went out of her way to ensure we had every thing we needed. Woburn itself is a lovely little village to walk around with free parking and interesting shops as well as Woburn Abbey itself.”

“Beautiful old pub, now an Italian restaurant. The food is excellent if a little pricey, as are the drinks. Good service. Lovely evening all round”

“My husband and I were in Woburn for a friend‘s birthday at Woburn Safari Park the night before and decided we would find somewhere lovely to treat ourselves to some lunch the next day. I was drawn to this restaurant and was really craving some prawns with garlic and the starter I chose totally delivered. The restaurant itself, the decor, the atmosphere, the music, everything was just perfect inside. Carmelo who helped us with our food options is such a lovely chap and couldn’t have been more helpful. The prawns with garlic and chilli and butter were so good and I had some lovely bread to dip in the sauce and I followed this with a crab linguine, which was absolutely delicious. This could be our new favourite Italian. I would definitely take a drive out this way to try some more of the menu.”
