Customer Review Summary

The complaints are specific. One reviewer found the chicken a little dry and felt the quiet lunchtime room lacked atmosphere. Another was surprised that VAT and a service charge were both added to a platter and drinks bill. The sharpest criticism describes a waiter with a poor attitude who only revealed after ordering that the one dish the table came for was unavailable, so they left with just the drinks, which they said were good.

“Popped in here on a wet Wednesday evening with my son . Unlike the weather he food was excellent! - I highly recommend the dinosaur rib - very tender and tasty! Atmosphere was warm and friendly. Above all the service was amazing ! Would highly recommend a visit- 5 ⭐️”

“My wife treated me to a birthday meal Saturday. The food was excellent 👍. We had the platter for 4. Cajun fries are amazing. Loved the chorizo sausage and the ribs. Chicken was a little dry (it is smoked). Only thing I would say is there is a bit of lack of atmosphere and I know it was quiet Saturday lunch time (weather) but feel it needs a bit of a vibe inside to make it a special experience.”

“This is one of the best places weve eaten in for a while. Just a shame its over and hour and half drive away but definitely worth the drive. The food was amazing well had one of the platters and a smashed burger and chip. Can't wait until we can go again.”

“Terrible service the guy that attended to us had really bad attitude, from the moment we walked in the door. That same energy wasn’t reciprocated to other costumers. The waiter failed to inform us before hand about items that weren’t available and told us once we ordered it that the 1 item we came for wasn’t available, ruining our whole night. He was caught rolling his eyes when he thought I wasn’t looking. Service needs massive improvement. The server needs to improve his attitude/ body language. Didn’t end up going ahead with the order and left only having the drink although the drinks were good. Terrible service!”
