  “Really disappointing experience at Aspendos Turkish Restaurant. We have visited a few times, but unfortunately, the service and attitude of one of the male staff members have been consistently unacceptable. The staff member was not welcoming at all and seemed irritated whenever customers asked questions. When I asked for a recommendation, he simply told me, "Just read the manue " This was extremely rude and unprofessional. I also ordered a drink, but even after waiting for half an hour, it still hadn't been served. I had to ask again. We visited during lunchtime, and the restaurant was almost empty, with only us as customers. It wasn't busy, so there was no clear reason for such slow service. What made it worse was seeing staff sitting in the corner while customers were waiting. The overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming, and we didn't feel valued as customers. Customer service makes a big difference, and unfortunately, this experience was very poor. Not recommend anyone.”

  “We are local customers and have visited Aspendos Margate several times. Although the food is generally good, unfortunately, the customer service has been consistently disappointing. On every visit, we have found one particular member of staff to be rude, unwelcoming and lacking in basic customer service. His attitude makes customers feel as though their presence is an inconvenience. We have also experienced problems with our food and raised our concerns with the staff, but unfortunately, we did not feel that our concerns were taken seriously or properly addressed. Another issue is the lunch deals they advertise. On several occasions, we have visited expecting to take advantage of the advertised lunch offer, only to be told, “We’re not doing this one.” If a deal is advertised, customers should reasonably expect it to be available, or the restaurant should clearly state when it is not. We have also tried to book lunch around 40 minutes before 3pm and were refused, which was disappointing given the advertised lunch hours. The food may be good, but good food alone is not enough. Friendly, respectful and professional customer service is just as important, especially for a local restaurant relying on returning customers. After several disappointing experiences, unfortunately, we would not recommend Aspendos based on the level of service we have received.”

  “I've visited Margate Aspendos , several times, and unfortunately, I've had a disgusting experience every time. The food is okay, but the customer service is extremely disappointing. The staff, especially some of the male employees, are very rude, unwelcoming, and disrespectful towards customers. Their attitude makes the entire experience unpleasant, and customers deserve to be treated with basic courtesy and respect. If I could give a rating below zero, I honestly would. I would not recommend this place to anyone.”

  “It’s beyond my expectation, the portion was so generous, the taste was amazing! The staff did rarely smile but we could feel that he served very professional and nice. On the top of that, there was no service charge. They gave us baklava for free. The experience here made my day.”

  “If I could give this place -5 stars I would. We didn’t even get to eat here (thank God). The server greeted us with a face of stone and a very nasty attitude. When asked if he had any recommendations, he said “you can read the menu”. Surely that’s a given? We can read, of course, but the whole point of asking for recommendations is to understand the menu better and what could potentially be to our tastes. Where and how was he trained?! Of course, after this, we picked up our things and left. It didn’t seem like anybody wanted to do any work. The restaurant was devoid of customer presence before we walked in. We were told that we would have to move at 1700 if we took a booth seat (we arrived at around 1600). We did not stay long enough to actually see if these customers who apparently reserved seating actually existed. The menus were sticky anyway. Nasty place with nasty staff. Poor hygiene, poor attitudes and poor decor. An all around failure of an establishment.”
