About The Cut & Craft Manchester
The Cut & Craft Manchester is a steak house in Manchester, set in a Grade II listed former banking hall at 38-42 Mosley St, with high ceilings and ornate decor. The menu pairs steak and seafood with other British dishes, and fillet is among the cuts. Truffle and parmesan fries come as a side. The cocktail list mixes original recipes with unusual ones, and vegetarian and vegan options sit alongside the meat and fish. Sunday lunch centres on a sharing roast, with live singers performing during the meal. Celebrations can come with a birthday card or a complimentary birthday dessert. In the evening, a DJ plays in the dining room.

Customer Review Summary
Steak is what diners praise most, with the fillet and a flat iron both cooked very well, and one reviewer calling the fillet a favourite. Truffle and parmesan fries come up repeatedly alongside it. Others single out the sea bass with saffron sauce, the teriyaki skewer, mac and cheese with peppercorn sauce, and a sharing roast. Close behind is the room, described as beautiful and stunning, with several reviewers also highlighting the bathrooms and the friendly, welcoming waiters. Live singers and a DJ are mentioned, though one diner found it quite loud after 10pm. Complaints are mostly about detail. One steak arrived a little burnt, another reviewer found the food very bland, and the gold bar dessert was called flavourless and overpriced. One birthday table was disappointed by the lack of a candle and too little sourdough with the hazelnut hummus, while other birthday diners received a card and a complimentary dessert.

“It is absolutely gorgeous in here. I can’t believe I’ve only just known about it. From entering the restaurant to dining, to the staff, to the restroom, 💯. I will definitely be back here for my birthday. It’s GRAND in every sense of the word. Our waiter Ramona was absolutely gorgeous and fantastic. She was very warm, answered all my questions politely and gave recommendations too. Thank you Ramona for your wonderful service. We will be back.”

“Where do I start; Fantastic. Seated near the toilet which was worrying as a start, however my attention was quickly diverted to the excellent hospitality from staff! Drinks were taken alongside a lovely amuse bouche of what I can only describe as Parmesan and truffle delights. Flavour to die for. Momentarily on I was served a bottle of wine (cheapest on offer #skint) which was kept in the chiller and topped up on request, or by staff whenever necessary. For the main a delicious proper burger, 2 patties juicy, filled with all the works, just like a no nonsense centre half… essential. My woman had a flat iron steak, and she couldn’t have been happier, the spinach was absorbent to the tongue, truffle fries a nice touch. In addition to all of this, lovely toilets whether it’s a number 1,2 or a stripe your needs are catered. Brilliantly down lit and a complimentary desert for the occasion was the cherry on top. 113 quid including a lager at the bar you can not beat that.”

“Absolutely stunning ! The look of the place, the service, & the food ! Cocktails are great have ones that you don’t usually see aswell as the originals. Came here for 6pm & by 7pm they was a DJ on but not to loud so you could still talk without shouting the vibe of this place is real cool. They have vegetarian & vegan options. If you want to wow someone this is the place to go I would 100% recommend.”

“Visited for my friend’s birthday. Portion sizes are good but the food is very bland. Sassy waiter. I see why people are more intrigued by the pretty bathroom. Visited on weekday in the late afternoon so it was not busy. A bitter middle aged woman made remarks whilst I took photos downstairs for my friend (we were being mindful of our surroundings ensuring we do not get it the way of others). A cute birthday dessert was provided and it was lovely.”
