Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the three floors, each with its own music. One describes floor 2 as pop and rock hits from the 80s to 2020s, while others mention mellow dnb on the ground floor, an rnb floor that was not bad, and a more pop-leaning upstairs. Several say the crowd is mostly students having fun, and one calls the DJ and the music good. Others are less happy with the sets, with one complaining of full pop songs played without transitions. Another says the lighting left a live act as just an outline, and the ceiling spotlights were annoying. A few note that it is standing only and too crowded to move for older guests. The biggest complaint is the door. Several describe being refused entry despite advance tickets, with bouncers citing jeans or age, and one group from London was told to seek a refund that the organiser had disabled on Fatsoma. Another bought on Skiddle, was still asked to pay extra, and was let in by one bouncer then stopped by another after stepping out to the car.

“Extremely disappointing experience. We travelled from London just for this event and were refused entry despite presenting multiple forms of identification. The staff then instructed us to request a refund, but the organiser has disabled refunds on Fatsoma, leaving us with no way to recover our money. We’ve tried contacting the venue and have been ignored. Poor communication, poor customer service, and a complete waste of our time and travel costs”

“I would say you need a tetanus shot to use the toilets in here, they were vile. The rnb floor wasnt too bad but its clear they are not used to people asking for a fair amount of shots 🤣🤣🤣 the look of horror when asked for 24 tequila rose shots.”

“Easily accessible in Manchester centre. And the sound quality is decent enough. But whoever is or was in charge of lighting needs a kick up the bum! We saw Kieza and it was just an outline as the lighting was all from behind. Plus the spotlights in the ceiling above the dance floor and bar were very annoying. It was all standing as well so if your older or suffer some issues be prepared.”

“Tickets were purchased in advance through Skiddle, yet we were still asked to pay extra at the entrance. The security process was inconsistent and unprofessional — one bouncer allowed us in, then another stopped me after I briefly went to the car, even though I had already entered the venue. Overall, a confusing and frustrating experience. Wouldn’t recommend this place at all.”
