About Revolución de Cuba Manchester
Revolución de Cuba Manchester is a rum-focused cocktail bar at 11 Peter St in Manchester, with live music and classes for guests who want to do more than drink. Salsa and bachata lessons teach the dancing, and a cocktail making class has guests spend time mixing their own drinks. The food menu draws on Latin and Caribbean cooking, with bowls and burritos among the dishes. The drinks list centres on rum and cocktails, including a watermelon cooler, and a Cruzcampo pint is on offer for those who prefer beer. Bottomless brunch comes with pre-set rounds of drinks. The bar takes walk-ins, and a downstairs area hosts a Friday night session.

Customer Review Summary
The cocktail making class is what reviewers praise most. They describe a host who was patient and got everyone involved, plenty of time spent making drinks themselves, and friendly fellow guests, including a hen do. Close behind, the watermelon cooler is called tasty, and a prawn bowl with a cold pint of Cruzcampo is described as delicious and satisfying, though that reviewer disliked the plantain. Downstairs, reviewers mention live music, a spinny camera machine and salsa and bachata lessons, though one calls the salsa crowd a little pretentious and the lessons uneven depending on who teaches. The bottomless brunch splits opinion. One reviewer loved the drinks and attentive food service, while another says the drinks came in set rounds, arrived slowly, and staff asked them to slow down, and found the brunch food horrible. Others report food that came out cold, staff who did not come to the table, and having to ask about dessert. One diner says the burrito held little beyond rice and the occasional piece of onion and tasted bland.

“Cocktail making class was good fun and ed was very patient and helpful throughout. Would recommend the class. Food was delicious but came out cold. Staff didn't come over to our table when we had sat down. We had to go ask the staff how long it would be even though everything was pre ordered. Again had to ask staff about dessert. Great live music there though and drinks are tasty. Highly recommend the watermelon cooler.”
