  “This place has been my favourite bar for several years, and for good reason. Bartenders greet you like an old friend. Whether you’re a first timer or a seasoned regular, you can expect a warm welcome and great service. Hot dogs on all night for the late night munchies. Veggie dogs also on offer - as a meat eater I find the veggie dogs just as good if not better sometimes! (Be careful with the atomic sauce. They’re not lying when they say it’s spicy). Cocktails are 10/10. Top tip: If you ask for a salt dog millionaire, expect a show. If you come here, you gotta have at least one. Overall - this place is a great place to visit for great vibes, great company, great music, great late night bites. If you’re feeling fancy, there’s also a secret bar underneath here… look up MDNT. I won’t spoil it. It won’t disappoint. Best gaff in Manchester, by far!”

  “Great spot in Manchester with a really fun atmosphere. The vibe is lively without being overwhelming, and the music is always on point. Staff were friendly and quick with service, which made the whole experience even better. Drinks are well made and reasonably priced for the area, and the place has a unique character that makes it stand out from your typical bars. It’s the kind of venue that works just as well for a casual night out as it does for a bigger night with friends. Definitely somewhere I’d come back to and recommend if you’re in the city centre.”

  “The atmosphere was great initially , but definitely driven down by one of the male employee’s unwarranted and unsolicited insults. “Painful to watch” — after spending £40 on food and drink and minding our business having fun. Way to dampen the mood lol”

  “Well well well… IF you want a great deal, fantastic atmosphere and a pool table covered in fried onion dust - then this is the place for you!! Great bar down the short stairs. Has plenty to look at and do - fun pool table with a deposit required. Fair enough. Great bar space with some great variety of cocktails. If you go during "Happy Hour" you can get yourself a £3 hotdog. So good, you could call it a Hot Dawg... Staff here are pretty friendly.. and funny!! Had some great laughs with the tall fella who works here. Thank you!! for the fun night / and more to come!”

  “My husband and I traveled to Manchester earlier this month to go to a concert at the arena. We were lucky enough to find Salt Dog Slim's early on our stay. The bar felt like all of our favorite dive punk bars at home. The staff were top tier, fun and friendly folks treated us like friends. We had the best time there - great music, great atmosphere. If you love dive/basement bars and shows - this is the place for you.”

  “Really a classic dive bar, heavy recommend, and if you're on industry there are some good deals, there's also a pool table and great company waiting for you down in that basement. Shout out to my guys Dean and George. Grab a hotdog for me”
