About Elaf Lebanese restaurant
Elaf Lebanese restaurant is a Lebanese and Syrian restaurant on Jordangate in Macclesfield, set up for sit-down dining on a bring-your-own basis, with no licence charge for drinks. Reservations are required, though walk-in diners without a booking can often be accommodated. The menu draws on Lebanese cooking with named plates such as Maklubieh and Farrouj chicken alongside grilled halloumi and cheesy potato kibbeh, with chips available as a side. A bright green fresh lemonade with mint and lemon is served at the table, and a piece of baklava comes with the bill to close the meal. Customers can take any leftovers home. The format centres on a shared, BYOB table service in the heart of the town.

“We called in a friday evening without a reservation, but were accommodated with a table for the 2 of us. We had grilled halloumi, cheesy potato kibbeh, Maklubieh and Farrouj chicken with a side of thier "chips". All the food was lovely, and we were able to take our left overs home. The fresh lemonade was bright green when it turned up, but do not be put off....it tastes amazing. Fresh, lemony, minty, sweet. We were given a piece of Baklava with the bill which was the perfect little sweet treat to finish our meal. We will definitely return. Thankyou for such a great meal.”

“Very authentic food. Some Middle Eastern restaurants taste all the same because a lot of the food is brought in. This tasted homemade. BYOB a bonus.”
