  “The best cosmopolitans in the area . Alice is by far the best bartender with her attention to detail . She always remembers our drink orders and even suggests drinks she thinks we may like .. gets it right every time . She remembers our faces from our first visit and always makes us feel so welcome .”

  “I used to consider this one of the better bars in Macclesfield, but the lack of management control has ruined the experience. The restroom situation is inadequate, and quite frankly inappropriate. While it contains only two gender-neutral toilets, that isn’t the real issue. The facilities are frequently blocked by groups of people—including staff—loitering inside together, engaging in highly questionable behaviour. Because of this, the facilities are practically unusable for paying customers, and entirely unsuitable for families or anyone seeking a safe environment. The chaos carries over onto the floor, where employees appear visibly distracted and erratic, struggling to handle basic orders after taking frequent toilet trips. Management urgently needs to step in and restore basic standards.”

  “I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel people should know what to expect before spending their hard-earned money here. The atmosphere was far from welcoming, the music was far too loud, and one female staff member seemed noticeably annoyed by what I felt were perfectly reasonable requests, appearing more interested in her phone than serving customers properly. The one positive was a young male member of staff who was polite, respectful, and made an effort to be helpful despite the overall situation. His friendly attitude was appreciated and stood out during an otherwise disappointing visit. The experience simply felt chaotic and badly managed, however I will say the drinks weren’t half bad. I’ve been going to pubs and bars for many years and standards seem to be slipping everywhere, but this was particularly disappointing. Such a shame, as places like this used to take pride in customer service and making people feel comfortable. And my previous experiences with the male manager had always been pleasant, which made this visit all the more surprising. Unfortunately I won’t be returning, and I certainly wouldn’t recommend it to friends.”

  “This is easily one of the best establishments around. Great select of food and drinks, and the service is always sublime. Huge credit to Cal, Jo and the team.”
