Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the good-value food, from a brunch wrap with coffee included and a full breakfast plate of bacon, mushrooms, beans, eggs and hash browns to pizza, chicken wings, American cheese burgers and halloumi fries shared before a film. Close behind are the friendly, helpful staff and food that arrives quickly, with several describing ordering by table number through the app. Reviewers also like the huge, clean interior with its library theme, an over-16s upstairs, and plenty of seating indoors and out. The main complaint is a single detailed one: a reviewer who ordered the steak and ale pudding says it arrived microwaved and stuck to the plate, with rock hard pastry and almost no filling, though the peas and chips were fine. Smaller notes are that the men's toilets are hard to find behind the fruit machines and that the nearby library car park is always busy. One breakfast diner reports every item on the plate arrived hot.

“A really, really lovely Wetherspoons, and I visit one in every new town I explore. Quick service, excellent value, spacioys, and clean. Plenty of seating indoors and out! Ordered the brunch wrap, and, for the first time ever, it arrived with lovely fresh chips! Coffee included in the deal, all for only £6.10!!!!!”

“Possibly the worse Steak & Ale Pudding I have ever eaten. The pudding arrived microwaved on the plate so severely that it was stuck to the plate and would not move. The pasty was more like a thick and rock hard shortcrust than suet and there was almost no filling which was frankly a relief as, what there was, was dry burned and unappetising. If I had dog I would not have given it the pudding as I would gave been worried about the vet bills. On a positive note, the peas and chips were OK. Come on Tim, get a grip of your food quality!”

“Good place to meet up with friend or family. I like the atmosphere as its chilled and cosy. Food is lovely and prices are really good. Very reasonable without breaking the bank. There is parking, although the library car park which is close by, is always busy. There are others nearby and payment is reasonable.”

“I’ve visited the White House Wetherspoon a couple of times with my friends, and it’s always been a good experience. The place has a nice, relaxed vibe that’s perfect for catching up. We tried their pizza, some drinks, and chicken wings — everything was tasty and worth the price. The food came out quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, it’s a great spot for a casual hangout with good food and drinks. Definitely recommend!🍕🍹🍗”
