Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips draw the praise here, with reviewers singling out a fish supper with two big pieces of fish, great cod, and more chips than one person could eat. One lunchtime diner found the chips perfect and the food fast and hot, and another calls the friendly service a pleasure. Close behind are complaints about the counter staff. One reviewer describes five people behind the counter ignoring them until they walked out, and another describes no eye contact and staff chatting among themselves. Chips are the most specific food complaint, described as overcooked, full of bad bits, or soggy, and one reviewer says plain sausages were so overcooked they could be thrown at a wall. A few say prices have gone up. One notes the grills were shut down before closing, so burgers and chicken boxes were unavailable. A delivery order arrived long after promised, with the food having sat in the driver's car. One reviewer who phoned to complain says the owner apologised and offered a replacement.

“Opening times have it closing at 11pm yet 10.20pm, could not make a burger or chicken boxs as the grills had already been shutdown for the night. 40 minutes seems a bit much before closing time to stop making the most popular items. Food is generally OK here and not had to many bad meals. Location is good with easy access and decent parking, also has other nearby takeaways catering to most tastes.”

“Well, anywhere that gives you two big pieces of fish in a fish supper is a winner in my book. More chips than Rab Ha could eat, and the services is super friendly. I've been twice, and it's now a ritual when I come off the bus from Belfast to have fish and chips at Bridie's, which is nice as I used to have an Irish Aunt Bridie”
