About Sessions Arts Club
Sessions Arts Club is a modern European restaurant in Clerkenwell, London, set in the old judges' dining room of Sessions House, a Grade II* listed courthouse at 24 Clerkenwell Green. Two terraces with fireplaces surround the dining room, and a rooftop bar and a garden add more places to settle in. The menu is built around small plates, with quail and lamb with anchovy and mustard sauce among the dishes, and an almond granita on the dessert side. White paper covers the tables in place of tablecloths. The venue runs as a restaurant, bar, art and performance space, and a curated collective program shifts with the seasons.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the setting, a heritage courthouse dining room with soaring ceilings and candle-lit tables that several call stunning. The food comes close behind. Reviewers name the cheese and melon, asparagus, quail, and lamb with anchovy and mustard sauce, and one calls the Sunday Roast the best meal of a London trip. Service is described as warm, friendly and attentive, and one guest enjoyed a staff member's detailed account of the building's history. A birthday and a wedding table feature among the celebrations, and a returning regular says the standard holds year after year. The caveats are cost and scale. One reviewer calls it overpriced, with tiny plates that are not special in taste, and another accepts pricey, small portions as normal for an upscale restaurant. The more critical reviewer also describes white paper in place of a tablecloth that made drinks stick and spill, with waiters spilling several. Another diner notes influencers posing around the room, including in the bathroom. Still, the almond granita is the dessert that blew one table's minds.

“Best meal of my London trip was the Sunday Roast at sessions. Safe to say I’ll be yapping about this nonstop for the foreseeable future. Special thanks to Callum for sharing the historical depth of the space in such detail!!”

“Staying at Sessions was an entirely new level of dining experience! The quality of the ingredients, the combination of flavours and the care taken are truly exceptional. I honestly think it was one of the best evenings I have ever had in London. Beyond the outstanding meal, the setting is absolutely stunning. Dining in an authentic 17th century courthouse surrounded by authentic interiors makes the experience feel truly unique. I also would like to highlight that the floor and bar staff were super friendly and attentive. They took their time to help us make our choices and made us feel welcome throughout the evening. If I could give this place 10 stars, I absolutely would. The next time my friends visit from abroad, this will be the first restaurant I bring them to. Thank you for such a memorable experience!”

“Great ambiance but overpriced for what it is. No tablecloth just white paper that made drinks stick and spill, waiters spilled multiple of our drinks. Tiny plates that want to be out there but aren’t that special in taste.”

“We had a great experience here for my husband's birthday. The places oozes atmosphere with its soaring ceilings and candle-lit tables, and our server Floss was fantastic. We had the cheese and melon to start, followed by asparagus, quail and then the lamb with anchovy and mustard sauce. Everything was delicious. The only downside is that because of Sessions' gorgeous interior and moody vibe is that it attracts a lot of ridiculous "influencers" who spend more time taking pictures of themselves in various poses around the restaurant (including the bathroom) than they do enjoying the place or the food. Hats off to the wonderful manager at the front desk for taking it in stride. :)”
