Customer Review Summary
Baked salmon draws the most praise, described as tender and perfectly cooked, and one diner had it with ratatouille. Close behind is the duck, a starter called divine and a breast served medium rare as requested, along with a seafood soup of salmon, mussels and shrimps large enough to share. Reviewers also name the gnocchi, a raspberry and chocolate brownie, crepes, and a beetroot and butternut squash wellington with moist pastry. Service is described as friendly and well timed, and the room as intimate, homey and quiet enough to chat, with one celiac diner finding the staff helpful. The specials divide opinion. Two reviewers found the mains excellent, but another found the deep fried brie breading bland and the beef bourguignon chewy. One diner felt crammed in and nearly tripped a waitress, and vegetarian diners wished for more vegetarian and vegan choices. One couple on date night finished with empty plates.

“A wonderful and charming restaurant local to Hampstead South End Green. The food, service, and ambience were all top-notch. As vegetarians, we ordered the gnocchi pasta, some sides, and finished with a delicious raspberry and chocolate brownie. Everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavour. The only area for improvement would be to offer a few more vegetarian and vegan options on the menu — it would be great to have a bit more variety. Otherwise, a truly delightful dining experience!”
