Customer Review Summary
Ceviche draws the most praise, with reviewers calling it really fresh and excellent, and one enjoying a tiradito with tiger's milk that was zesty and spicy. Arroz con mariscos comes close behind, described as plenty of seafood cooked just right with a flavorful sauce, while diners also single out the yuquitas, tamal, empanadas and pisco happy hour cocktails. A few describe Peruvian customers and staff chatting in Spanish, and friendly service. The pollo a la brasa divides opinion sharply. Reviewers describe it as bland, dry, or slightly pink inside, alongside soggy chips and a seco of three pieces of meat, and the lomo saltado is called very small for the price. Two groups arrived to find the chicken had run out, and on Peruvian Independence Day one party was told it was the only dish available, with drinks and food taking a very long time.

“I went to Piscos Dalston on 28 July with a large group of friends to celebrate Peruvian Independence Day. We travelled all the way there expecting to enjoy a proper Peruvian meal, especially given the occasion. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told that they could not serve us any food on the menu and that the only dish available was pollo a la brasa. This was incredibly disappointing, particularly because we were more than 10 Peruvians willing and excited to eat and celebrate together. Many of us tried to ask if they could prepare or serve something else (starters or whatever), but nothing was done. Even the drinks took a very long time to arrive, and the pollo a la brasa also took ages. When drinks and food finally arrived, there were not good either. I honestly found it unbelievable that, of all days, this happened on Peruvian Independence Day, when you would expect a Peruvian restaurant to be prepared to welcome Peruvian customers and serve them properly. The service was extremely poor, the food was disappointing, and the whole experience was frustrating from beginning to end. Definitely my worst experience at a Peruvian restaurant in London. Luckily, there are plenty of other Peruvian restaurants better than Pisco Dalston and there is an amazing place in Fulham serving really the best pollo a la brasa in London.”

“You know you’re in an authentic Peruvian restaurant when a man with his son come in who are obviously from Peru & converse in Spanish with the staff. Then the next group are also Peruvian 😁 Really excellent ceviche. Would like to come back! The chicken from the rotisserie at the front would be worth a try.”

“The food is shocking 🤦🏻♂️ where do I start… so this is meant to be Peruvian food and to serve this and call it Peruvian food they should be ashamed of themselves ! I wouldn’t give this to my dog ! The chips were full of oil, soggy and limp, the chicken was not authentic pollo à la brasa it was just a bland chicken leg… the seco was 3 pieces of meat that my dog literally turned he’s nose up at… I honestly wished I could give these guys a no star because the food is honestly appalling. AVOID AVOID AVOID !!!”

“incredibly authentic hidden gem for Peruvian food and I'm surrounded by people who are of the origin, had the tiradito which is the ceviche in a sushi style with tiger's milk and it was really fresh and zesty and spicy and delicious in a good way and also had the papa la huavaina and the sauce was the best I've had. I had this like great. almost like light creamy and it's delicious. almost cheesy way. very delicious and then the lumos very fresh. too cooked in a Asian inspired manner. cooked really well. fries are great. the green sauce is not like the style you see in New York, which I think is less authentic in New York to be fair, but I think incredibly good plays with a happy hour that has pisco that I will come back for, also, the chicha was pretty good, large tall, deep glasses could deep flavour would recommend a little bit more cinnamon otherwise would come back”
