About Lee Fish Bar
Lee Fish Bar is a fish and chips takeaway at 113 Burnt Ash Rd in London, now under new management. The menu centres on cod and chips, with the fish served alongside a slice of lemon and tartare sauce. Chicken wings are grilled rather than fried, so customers who want chicken have an option that skips the fryer. Curry sauce is sold in pots for adding to an order of chips. The shop opens Monday to Saturday and is closed on Sundays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the cod and chips, describing the fish as fresh and the batter as light and crispy, with generous portions. Close behind are the grilled chicken wings, which two reviewers prefer because they are grilled rather than fried, and a chicken burger called juicy and well-seasoned. Many mention that new owners have taken over, and most say quality held steady or improved, with the owner described as friendly and several noting a lemon slice and tartare sauce alongside the fish. One reviewer even ate the chips in the car on the way home because they were so good. The main dissent comes from a longtime customer who found the chips poor after the change, with little potato, almost no salt and vinegar, which her husband was told came from a vinegar spray, and curry sauce pots that were smaller and short on flavour. That reviewer said they would look for another shop. By contrast, another reviewer described being encouraged by the owner to taste the fish before reaching for the salt, and found it needed none.

“The quality and taste of the good was outstanding! First time I ate fish without adding salt. The owner encouraged me to taste the fish before adding salt, as I was going to. I couldn't believe the flavour of it 😀 My husband and I ended up eating in the car whilst driving, because the food was so good, we couldn't wait to get back to Sidcup first. Great prices too.”

“This has been taken over by new owners. Chips were not good. Lots of them but poor quality with not much “potato”. Pots of curry sauce have been reduced in size, very little flavour. The chips also had practically no salt and vinegar on them, when I asked my husband (who collected the order) he told me they were using a spray for the vinegar..obviously a cost saving measure. We have been going here for years and will now look for a new fish and chip shop. Do better if you want to retain your customers!”

“Delicious fish and chips. The fish tastes so fresh and the batter is perfectly light and crispy. The portions don’t disappoint either. Well done to the new ownership!”

“First time at Lee’s fish bar. The owner was very friendly and gave great customer service. I had chicken wings cooked on a grill. Very tasty and fished the chips as they were that good. Great chicken and chips will definitely be coming here for wings and chips in future”
