About Avenida Brasil UK

Avenida Brasil UK is a Brazilian restaurant on Lansdowne Way in London, with a wooden terrace planted out for outdoor dining and open daily. The kitchen works through a menu of around 88 dishes, with picanha available for two and feijoada served alongside rice, cassava flour and collard greens; caipirinhas and a wine list run with the food. Portions are large enough that one dish can feed two, and leftovers travel home. Live music and a live band play inside, including Saturdays, and people dance in the room, while the terrace tables suit a quieter meal and welcome dogs. Booking ahead is advised. On football screening days, entry works through a paid wristband and a queue forms at the door, so arriving with time to spare helps. A step-free entrance serves visitors with mobility needs, a private dining room takes groups, and high chairs are on hand for families with young children.

“Avenida Brasil serves incredibly delicious and authentic Brazilian food! I completely love Brazilian cuisine, and this place really delivers on flavor. The picanha is absolutely spectacular—so tender and perfectly cooked—and they have an amazing selection of super rich, sweet desserts to finish the meal. To make the experience even better, they feature fantastic live music that gives the place a wonderful, energetic vibe. I am absolutely in love with this restaurant!”

“I live in the local area and have come here many times as a British man. Genuinely can’t go wrong, great food and you will not get better value anywhere else. A must try if you live in the area, or fancy some great Brazilian food. Also a shout out to Victoria - she gave us great recommendations and looked after us all night. Could not recommend more”

“This is a favourite, the whole family love it. We have celebrated birthdays, and anything we can to find an excuse to go to Avenida Brasil. I love it so much that I took my team from work, they loved it. Pet friendly - a plus for me!”

“Booked a table for the Brazil game and understandably, the restaurant was very busy. There was a queue of about 50 people waiting to enter as the match was about to start. Apparently everyone had a booking and was waiting to be seated. There was no organisation at all! It took around 30 mins for me and my friends to finally enter the restaurant. None of the security guards or staff were monitoring the queue and there were lots of people pushing in. We had to pay a £10 entry fee for a wristband at the door, they could’ve made everyone pay online to speed up the process when arriving at the restaurant but anyway… Finally entered the restaurant, we were not shown to our table, they just told us “it’s in the garden”. We walked towards the garden and all of the tables which accommodated 6+ people were taken. There was a group of 3 people sat on a table for 6 people… this group had been sitting at our table and when asked to move to their table right next to ours they refused. After waiting more than half an hour just to enter the restaurant, we were greeted by inconsiderate people who had simply decided that a group of 3 needed a table made to sit 6 people. The staff member was doing his best to get them to move but after all of the commotion with waiting for ages to enter and then being met by rude and inconsiderate diners, me and my friends were obviously annoyed and frustrated. We had missed almost half of the football game which was the only reason we went here in the first place. I called the manager directly who came straight to the table, but by this time, another member of staff managed to get the group of 3 to move. The food was okay, decently priced but not the best quality. The atmosphere was great with the football on and live music afterwards. If you are booking a table to watch the football, make sure to arrive at least an hour ahead of your booking otherwise you will for sure have to wait in a long and slow queue and be met with inconsiderate diners stealing your table.”

“Don’t order online, they don’t deliver your full order, there is always something - even the main meal. We have ordered a couple of times and it’s always the same, something is missing. We have given up now at last. This week we ordered 1 Feijoada, it came all the side dishes (rice, cassava flour, collard green, fried cassava, oranges) but not the actual feijoada!! We also ordered 2 picanha skewers, which came correctly but missing side dish (fried cassava)!! Such a shame!!”

Customer Review Summary

Picanha dominates the praise, described as tender and perfectly cooked, ordered as picanha for two, as skewers, and with feijão carioca. Close behind are the portions, repeatedly called huge, with several noting one dish can feed two and leftovers going home, and one cautioning against over ordering because a burger alone can defeat a diner. Also singled out are pão de queijo, bolinhos de bacalhau, chicken hearts, halloumi fries and the caipirinha, plus live music and dancing that most call energetic, though a few find it loud and move to the plant filled terrace. The recurring complaint is waiting: long gaps before food arrives, and one couple describes being left without menus while later arrivals were served ahead of them, with no apology offered. Delivery draws separate frustration, with one repeat customer reporting missing items across several orders, including a feijoada that arrived with rice, collard greens, cassava flour and oranges but no feijoada. Several suggest booking in advance.
