Quick info
About Sacro Dough Pizzeria Napoletana
Sacro Dough Pizzeria Napoletana is a pizza restaurant on Finchley Rd, built around a 48-hour fermented dough the kitchen calls Sacro Dough, cooked in a gas pizza oven. The menu runs from Napoletana and Diavola to a Double Pepperoni & Chilli Honey pizza, with bruschetta as a starter and whole burrata available as an extra on any pie. A lunch special pairs a pizza with a drink, and a happy hour includes a Negroni Sbagliato made with prosecco in place of gin. Daily specials round out the offer. Service is walk-in, and pizza can also be collected for takeaway. The dining room accommodates strollers and has space for kids. With one waitress covering the floor at busier times, service can slow later in the evening.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often center on the dough itself, described repeatedly as light, soft, and beautifully cooked, with the Diavola and Double Pepperoni & Chilli Honey singled out as standouts alongside a well-liked burrata special and a Negroni Sbagliato swapped with prosecco. Close behind, several mention fresh bruschetta and an authentic, rich tomato sauce, and the daily specials paired with a lunch deal draw praise for value. Staff are called friendly and welcoming across most visits, and one reviewer notes the pizzeria comfortably made room for kids and a stroller. A few reviews break from this pattern: one found the base soft rather than crisp, the sauce undercooked and runny, and the salsiccia missing its expected fennel flavor, while another received an extra uncooked pizza and felt uncomfortable when questioning the order. Slow service also comes up once, with a diner having to repeatedly chase down the bill before it finally arrived.

“The food was lovely, fresh and authentic. Although the service was friendly, it became incredibly slow as time passed and we had to chase for our bill a quite few times towards the end and took 45 mins to receive it. I think perhaps they may have been short staffed that day with only one waitress working. (N.B this visit was from early July).”

“Overall, we had a nice experience and the girl who took our order and served us was friendly. We ordered two pizzas, but we were given three. When we tried to explain that we had only ordered two, she pointed at us and said something that made us feel a little uncomfortable, rather than trying to understand the situation. Unfortunately, one of the pizzas was also not fully cooked. Apart from that, the service was good and most of the experience was pleasant. Hopefully, the staff can handle these small misunderstandings a little more politely next time”

“Had an amazing experience at Sacro Dough Pizzeria! 🍕🔥 I tried the Diavola and the Double Pepperoni & Chilli Honey, and honestly both were incredible. The Diavola had the perfect spicy kick, while the double pepperoni with chilli honey was such a great combination of spicy, savoury and slightly sweet flavours. The dough was absolutely beautiful — light, soft and full of flavour with a perfectly cooked crust. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the whole atmosphere made the experience even better. Definitely one of the best pizzas I’ve had in London. If you love proper Neapolitan pizza, I’d highly recommend giving Sacro Dough a try. 🍕❤️🔥 10/10 — already looking forward to coming back!”

“This is such a local gem. The 🍕 pizza is epic. The happy hour offer is amazing, and the NEGRONI SBAGLITO IS THE BEST DRINK 🍷 EVER and the first time I’ve noticed it on offer in London, switching the gin out for prosecco it hits so different. Chefs kiss. We’ll be back like all the time so see you again soon!”

“I had a great experience at this Italian restaurant. The bruschetta was incredibly fresh and full of flavor — definitely one of my favorite parts of the meal. The pizza was also excellent, especially the tomato sauce, which tasted rich and authentic. On top of the food, the restaurant itself has a really nice atmosphere and is a lovely place to dine. I’d happily come back and would recommend it to anyone looking for great Italian food.”
