“What a party! That was absolutely insane!😈 If you want to have the best time forget about Grindr and go to ROAST. More than 2000 guys friendly and sexy. I thought it will be a lot of beefy guys - actually they were all sort of hot guys skinny, toned, muscled, beefy etc. 5 different rooms with different music like pop techno etc literally packed with guys. Someone wrote that the dark room is cold - OMG it was so hot (if you know what I mean) with a lot of actions😈 I went around 10.30 pm and I am happy because I saw around 12.30 the waiting queue outside was massive. On the entrance they check ID and you can leave your stuff at the clock roam £3. On ground floor there is a big lounge room with some sofas to relax which I liked. The prices of drinks are normal not overpriced. Absolutely friendly staff and atmosphere is fantastic. The security is doing their job discreetly, not like other venues. It’s absolutely clean and everyone is friendly and welcoming. Bring some cash to tip the bartender- you can’t tip on the card which is not good. If you want to dance, to roast and to be roasted (you know what I mean😝) go to Roast.”

“**⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of London’s Best Gay Nights** Roast @ Electrowerkz in Angel is easily one of the best Gay events in London. The exceptional customer service sets the tone right from the start — the security team are genuinely friendly and welcoming. Just remember to bring your ID; it’s a strict policy, and there’s no entry without it, so don’t blame the venue if you forget! The venue is spread across multiple floors. Upstairs you’ll find a well-organised cloakroom with plenty of space and a smooth digital ticketing system that makes dropping off and collecting your belongings quick and stress-free. There’s always lots of staff on hand, and everything runs efficiently. Heading downstairs, the energy rises. There’s a huge darkroom that’s always busy and buzzing with a diverse crowd from skinny twinks to Musclemen and Bears. The main dancefloor delivers some of the best HOUSE music in London — no circuit music here, thankfully. The crowd is friendly, varied, and completely attitude-free. As you explore further, you’ll find additional rooms with more bars and music, including a dedicated techno room for those who love harder sounds. One of the highlights is the spacious yard area, complete with a large bar where you can chill, have a drink, socialise, or take a breather between sets. There’s also a courtyard outside for smokers. The overall vibe is fantastic: great music, great DJs, inclusive atmosphere, and a genuinely welcoming crowd. Roast runs twice a month, and it’s essential to buy your ticket in advance via the DICE app — no tickets are sold on the door. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a vibrant, friendly, and unforgettable night out.”

“Great party, multiple floors and rooms, with a wide variety of music. Men are gorgeous and the play area is very entertaining..”

“On a positive note entry, security and coat check were all impressively efficient. The queue moved very quickly. The staff were mostly friendly and polite. We were a group of 8 from Manchester, we use to go to XXL a couple of times a year so were looking forward to the night. Unfortunately none of us enjoyed the music. There was pop on the lower floor, no idea what was on the middle floor and some pretty monotonous dirge on the top floor. It was far from uplifting and the place only came slighty alive when a familiar freemason type mix came on but then only too briefly. I am told the music did get slightly better later on but we had left by then.”

“I'm ancient (don't let this put you off, most people were 20's/30's) but this took me back to my 20's, good music in the house and pop rooms, techno isn't really my thing but even that was good earlier in the night. I had a lovely time although yes I'm clearly a little out of touch with how expensive nightclub entry is. Will be going again.”

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers return most for the house music on the main dancefloor, and several also praise the pop room, while the dark room and a separate techno room draw repeated mentions across the multiple floors. Many describe a friendly, inclusive, mixed crowd and welcoming staff, with one saying staff tracked down a lost item. A big lounge and a yard bar get a mention too. Entry and cloakroom are called efficient by some, though one reviewer waited from 11:10pm until 1:30am to get in, then faced another long cloakroom queue and a slow upstairs bar. Others call the music disappointing, with pop downstairs and a monotonous top floor, and one found it too loud with overpriced drinks, while another called drink prices normal. Reviewers note ID is checked at the door, tickets are bought in advance through DICE, and tips need cash. One reviewer said it fills quickly and advised going early.
