Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the servers, describing them as friendly, cheerful and attentive, and several say food arrived fast when they were in a rush, whether heading to a cruise or eating before six. Close behind is the pasta, with truffle carbonara, pasta alla vodka and a mushroom risotto described as thick and creamy. One diner chose the Rainbow vegan lasagna on lasagna day because the beef version felt heavy for a hot day. Another recommends the calamari, though a different reviewer found it pale rather than brown and crispy. The atmosphere is called chilled and relaxed, and the hand-painted walls get a mention. One reviewer says the front-of-house team welcomed them despite arriving late for a reservation, and a long-time visitor suggests booking to avoid a wait. One server finished a meal by bringing a complimentary hot chocolate.

“Went for the free Lasagna on Lasagna day, but would absolutely come back for it! Had the Rainbow vegan lasagna as the beef one felt a bit heavy for a hot day. Either way our server, Marie, was excellent! Very friendly character, made us feel welcome.”

“Came on a very busy evening around 7pm and the restaurant was absolutely buzzing. Despite how busy it was, I was seated quickly and made to feel welcome straight away. A special mention has to go to Peter, the manager. What can I say? He is an absolute gem. Professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about delivering great service. He went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and is a real credit to the restaurant. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was outstanding. I’ll definitely be returning and would highly recommend a visit.”

“Peter made me feel entirely welcome from the time I sat down to a late lunch 'til the time I took my last sip of cappuccino. The pasta alla vodka was delicious through every bite! The decor was enjoyable, the best of which are the hand-painted walls. I will gladly visit again!”

“We had a lovely experience at Zizzi Restaurant. The Italian food was really good, and the prices were quite reasonable too. What made the experience even better was the service. Our waiter, Didier, was absolutely fabulous — very helpful, cheerful, and attentive throughout. We had very limited time as we had to leave for our cruise, but the service was super fast and everything was brought to us quickly without any stress. Didier really helped make sure we could enjoy our meal and still leave on time. Great food, reasonable pricing, and excellent service. A special thank you to Didier for being so helpful and making our visit so smooth!”
