Customer Review Summary
The complaints are mixed. One diner found the bass-heavy music far too loud for an early dinner and said the waiter pointed to the music policy when asked to turn it down. Others found the gluten free puttanesca turned curry-like, the salmon pasta salty, the king prawns overcooked and the pizza underbaked. Two say the food was bland or the service slow, and two who booked through a discount deal felt the meal would not be worth the money at full price. One diner's glass was swapped for a fresh prosecco after they flagged a mark on it.

“My friend had booked the restaurant in a deal. When i Walker in, the waitress looked at me like i had 2 heads. She eventually came over to me and asked if i had a table. I explained the details. She wanted the reservation confirmation. She was huffing and puffing. Said to take a seat and she will return. It's a good thing that my friend sent me a copy. I showed it to her. She found the reservation eventually. There were only 3 tables occupied. We ordered meals and drinks. I ordered a gluten free puttanesca. It tasted like a curry towards the end. I tested my friends salmon pasta. The salmon was really salty. I ate mine as i was hungry. 50% deal applied to the meal and 12.5% service charge. It was not worth it and i would definitely not be returning.”

“Maybe we were there on an off day but the food was quite bland and the service was fairly slow”

“We had an excellent time at Mediterraneo, both for the food and the team ! We had some last minute changes in our reservations which other places may have created issues on but Tyson was super accommodating and welcoming and we were very thankful for that! The ambience was that fo a typical home style cosy Italian restaurant Each of the mains we ordered were delicious (portions were good too, served in hot cast iron style pans!) and they were customised in whichever way we needed with no complaints, but the best dish was the Antipasto con funghi (mushroom on toast) - finger-licking yummilicious!! I think i will go back just for that! Kudos to Chef Klajdi for each of the dishes! The desserts were special icecreams - we tried the Limoncello and The Flute Hazel. Also, the best part of the evening was the amazing way in which wonderful Flavia took great care of us, going above and beyond in every way! We were certainly very touched and will be back ! Thankyou so much to the whole staff!”

“Well worth a visit if you are in the area and are after an intimate dinner at a family owned independent restaurant. Brilliant choice of wines and pasta. Italian hospitality at it's best”

“Food was ok, patsa comes in a frying pan as do some other dishes which was interesting and kept the food warm. Not much in terms of atmosphere in the restaurant, seems a bit dated. Staff were friendly, my glass had some black paint on it and it was exchanged for a fresh glass of prosecco when I brought it to their attention. The King Prawns were ok. Wouldn't have them again. A little overcooked. Pizza was ok, could have been baked a bit more, pasta was tasty to be honest. Bruschetta was so-so. The Puttanesca was quite nice, but a little too al dente. Booked via the fork so got 50% off food, if not for that I wouldn't say it's worth the money.”
