About Saint Espresso - Baker Street

Saint Espresso - Baker Street is a coffee shop at 214 Baker St in London, beside Baker Street station. The coffee is house-roasted Brazilian beans from producer Fernando Beloni, served in classics like the flat white. The iced cascara matcha cloud is a coffee-meets-tea creation that sits alongside them on the menu. A pastry cabinet holds toast-filled croissants, and the banana loaf can be warmed on request. The space is small, with very few seats. Payment is by card or contactless only.

Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the coffee, with the cappuccino and a filter coffee paired with a cardamom bun drawing particular praise. Close behind are the specialty drinks and bakes: an iced banana latte cloud that surprised one reviewer, a black forest hot cocoa, and a banana loaf one reviewer suggests asking to have warmed. Staff come up repeatedly as kind, friendly and knowledgeable, though one reviewer says the baristas need air conditioning because it is boiling hot inside. The space is described as small, with few seats, no restroom, and a feeling of overcrowding at the counter. Complaints centre on temperature and size. One reviewer found a croissant cold and tasteless even after asking whether it was baked that day, another found the cappuccinos weak and not warm enough, and one called an iced tea of roughly 200 to 250ml the smallest ever served, leaving them feeling ripped off and unlikely to return.

“I come here quite often and usually really enjoy their coffee, but today I tried the iced tea and honestly couldn’t believe the portion. It was genuinely the smallest iced tea I’ve ever been served in my life, around 200–250ml. Whoever decided on this portion and pricing really needs to reconsider it. It feels careless at best. I left feeling ripped off. I don’t think I’ll be coming back.”

“It's a small cafe beside Baker Street station. They have got a couple of chairs facing the street, and some tables outside. The 2 ladies who made my drink last Sunday are very nice. I've had iced banana latte cloud, which surprised me on how good it was”

“I absolutely love the people who work here. The girlies are always so kind and friendly. Minus one point cuz it’s boiling hot inside and our lovely baristas need air con !!!”

“Very good cappuccino. I can’t say the same about the croissants. The one I had was as cold as your ex, even though I visited early in the morning. Tasteless. I double-checked whether it had been baked today, or at least this week, and they said yes. Can’t recommend buying one. Anyway, the cappuccino was gorgeous.”
