About Hopper Coffee
On Gray's Inn Rd in London, Hopper Coffee is a coffee shop at number 81b that runs mostly as a grab-and-go counter, with little space to sit inside. The drinks list centres on the flat white, which comes in small and large sizes with an extra shot option, and an oat cortado is also on offer. Food includes a ham and cheese breakfast sandwich, along with salads and sweet treats to go with a coffee. The format suits a quick stop for a drink and something to eat on the way. Hopper Coffee opens Monday to Friday, in the daytime only, and closes on Saturdays and Sundays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the vanilla latte, which one calls the best they have had, describing it as perfectly sweet and thick rather than watery, and tasting the same on repeat visits. Close behind are the flat white and the oat cortado, which reviewers describe as well balanced, with an extra shot oat flat white praised for having no bitterness. An iced americano and iced latte also get mentions on hot days. Among food, the almond croissant comes up more than once, alongside a ham and cheese breakfast sandwich, salads and sweet treats. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and quick, even when busy. The main caveat is space, with one reviewer noting there is not a lot of room inside and that it works as grab and go. Another says the large flat white was too much milk against the espresso and that the small would have had the right ratio. One reviewer adds that the shop was recommended by the London Coffee Festival.

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hopper Coffee is a solid spot — fast service, consistent quality, and zero nonsense. The coffee is smooth, not burnt, not watered down. Staff move quickly even when it’s busy, and the place has a calm vibe that actually makes you want to come back. Good prices, good taste, no drama. Easily one of the better coffee stops in the area.”

“best vanilla latte i’ve ever had in my life, would give 10 stars if i could!! the latte is perfectly sweet with the vanilla syrup and the coffee is simply divine. it’s not watery like other places and perfectly thick, i wish i lived in this area solely so i could have this latte every day 🤤 i came a few months ago and again today and it tasted exactly the same so they consistently make it rlly good! was amazing during this hot weather, will be back again soon with friends for sure :)”

“I walk by Hopper everyday on my way to work and decided to stop by with my parents. We got a vanilla latte, iced americano, and a flat white and every single one of us LOVED our coffees! I’ve tried a lot of coffee places in and outside of London and this may have been one of the best drinks I’ve had before. Food was also great and there was a good variety. We got an almond croissant and a ham/cheese breakfast sandwich. Staff were quick and kind too. Also went back again today!”
