Customer Review Summary
The most recurring complaint is flavour and cost. Reviewers describe food as tasteless or too salty, with a tasteless chilli oil, lumpy soup and hard, chewy sweet and sour chicken. Others say the ginger lamb had little meat in too much soup, and the ma po tofu was not quite ma po tofu. Long-time customers say dishes have crept from around the low teens per item, which one calls unaffordable. A delivery order arrived with vegetables after being requested without, and a replacement order took far longer than promised because the first attempt was burned. One diner was left with only a fork mid-meal and had to ask for cutlery back.

“Not sure why this place doesn’t have better reviews - used three times and great every time. Could be a little less salty but so could everywhere!”

“Can't promote this place enough. The food is delicious and fresh. They always look after us and tastes so good. Hands down the best Chinese I've ever had, dont believe me...try it yourself and leave me a comment 🤝🏽”

“The worst madras of my life. The whole curry is swimming in water. There was absolutely no flavour or spice. The pilau rice was white in colour and seemed as though it had been microwaved and to top it of the cheese naan lacked cheese but that's okay as the dryness made up for that. I called the restaurant and was offered a replacement so I opted for a chicken tikka as I did not want to risk a curry and was told it will be ready in 10 minutes. It actually took over 45 minutes and when I asked what was taking so long I was told that they burned the first attempt. Upon collecting the food it was literally just grilled cubes of chicken on top of Onion (that being the one thing that I asked them to leave out) no mint yoghurt dressing or salad. I wouldn't even recommend it to the man that rear ended me and drove straight off.”

“I am so annoyed and angry that this restaurant wasnt able to follow simple instructions. I placed an order on deliveroo £90 plus was spent. I specifically asked for no veg in certain dishes as I have kids who cant stomach certain veg. Tell my why all the food came with veg ? I thought now we cant get replacements or a refund. I had to pick all of it out. When I did remove the veg you see nothing but sauce left for the price your paying you hardly get any meat or prawns. This is probably the reason they didnt send the order with no veg. The food was greasy and nice suffered for 2 days with stomach pains. Ive always ordered from this place but this will be my last time now as there standards have dropped big time.”

“Absolutely gutted. I had never eaten Chinese food until I found this place - it was the only spot I trusted because it’s Halal, and it quickly became my go to. I’ve recommended it to so many people and have been a loyal customer for years. But now? I’m paying up to £41 for just three dishes. That’s just not right. When I first started ordering, dishes were around £9. Even when they went up to £11, I understood. But £14 PER item? That’s extortionate. I’m honestly so disappointed. I loved this place, but the pricing now feels unfair - especially during a cost of living (and I do understand this from a business POV, yet this is too much!!). It’s a real shame to see one of my absolute favourite spots become completely unaffordable.”
