About Park View Cafe

Park View Cafe is a cafe and breakfast restaurant on Manor House in London, with a large garden seating area overlooking Finsbury Park, set with tables and canopies. Table service in the garden runs on numbered tickets, with a bell to call a waiter over. Indoors, the room offers a bar alongside further seating. The menu includes eggs benedict, halloumi wraps with chips, and egg florentine, and the English breakfast can be ordered with poached eggs instead of fried. Set breakfast options come with a hot drink included. The entrance is step-free for wheelchair users, high chairs are available for families with young children, and dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area. It opens daily, and reservations are recommended. The washroom includes a baby changing station.

Customer Review Summary

Breakfast is the clear draw here, with reviewers repeatedly praising the English breakfast, eggs benedict, and egg florentine, and several noting eggs cooked to order and food that arrives quickly. Close behind, the garden and outdoor seating overlooking the park come up again and again as a highlight, especially on sunny days, alongside a wide-ranging, reasonably priced menu and table service that many describe as warm and welcoming. A few also like the bell-and-number ordering system for flagging a waiter in the larger indoor room. The recurring caveat is inconsistency: one reviewer found the interior outdated and gloomy compared to when it first opened, described language barriers with waiters, and said a dish arrived with ingredients they'd asked to be left out, calling the staff unfriendly. Another separately flagged a toilet in poor condition and a Google listing glitch showing false hotel-booking questions. Long-time regulars, some returning for years, say portions are generous and prices fair, with one describing staff who've watched their kids grow up over repeat visits.

“Lovely breakfast café with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was fresh, delicious, and nicely presented. Special thanks to Fuat for his friendly and attentive service — he really made the experience even better. They have a garden area which is so lovely, surrounded by nature. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!”

“Accessibility: 5/5 Large washroom with many handles to help you up and down. Stopped in for breakfast before our London tour today. It's well situated and easy to access, very roomy inside with lots of space for accommodations. The staff were very warm, friendly, and smiling, and the food was exceptional. Made with care and passion. Recommending this place for a meal, the prices are very decent as well! The ladies washroom also has a great baby changing station.”
