Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return to Angel's Cafe mainly for the fry up, with the Angel Special named most often, one diner swapping the chips for black pudding. Portions are described as healthy and the food as quick, fresh and good value, and an egg and bacon roll is called authentic and modest in price. Several call it an old school greasy spoon, and one group comes every Monday for lunch. Milkshakes are singled out as the best in Stroud Green, and staff are repeatedly called friendly, polite and welcoming, with one praising a Polish lady for fast, helpful advice on ordering. Criticism is sharper but less common. One reviewer found the chips greasy and cooked in old oil, the portions small, and the owner unpleasant. Another says the Angel Special's included drink covered only regular coffee, so a latte was added to the bill after the meal, and the food was just okay. Others mention the cafe as a stop after the Finsbury Park parkrun, where a reviewer went to replenish calories after the 5k.

“The food was greasy ; disgusting chips cooked in old oil. All the meal portions are small and left me feeding hungry. But worst of all the owner was extremely unpleasant. I would never frequent this establishment again. I observed how badly a waitress was treated. This person eeds to learn a lesson in manners and how to cook. The worst café I've ever had the misfortune to visit. Horrible place.”

“I ordered the Angels Special, which includes coffee or tea. I didn't feel like having either coffee or tea, but since it was included, I ordered a latte. I was charged breakfast plus latte because only regular coffee was included. I could have been informed of this in advance, rather than after I'd eaten and wanted to pay. The food was okay, but there are better options in the area.”

“Super friendly local cafe serving up monster fry ups. Come here with a big appetite cause the portions are healthy. Staff are very polite and welcoming and the food came out super quick - I orders the Angel Special and replaced my chips with black pudding 👌”
