About Il Molino
Il Molino is an independent Italian cafe in London, at 155 Lavender Hill. The pastry selection is large, and it includes lemon cream horns and orange polenta cake alongside croissants, among them a ham and cheese version. Coffee runs through the day's orders. The kitchen also covers brunch and breakfast, with eggs Benedict on the list, and it makes sandwiches for a savoury option. Dogs are welcome, so owners can bring them along when they stop in for a coffee and a pastry.

What reviewers say
Reviewers most often mention coffee, pastries, ham and cheese croissant and eggs benedict.
Customer Review Summary
Coffee is the most frequent draw, described by reviewers as good quality, great, and top mark, and most accounts also mention friendly, smiley staff. Close behind is the food: diners single out a ham and cheese croissant, eggs Benedict served with mozzarella, avocado and peppers on the side, and toast with poached eggs, while one reviewer urges trying the moussaka and lemon cream horns. Several describe a cozy atmosphere with music, and one calls it dog friendly and independent. The caveat sits with the baked goods and takeaway food. One reviewer found the orange polenta cake a little dry and was disappointed with the pastry. Another, who collected food through TGTG, found the cake and pastry excellent but the rest bland and tasteless, though they put it down to that particular day. Reviewers also mention feeling comfortable enough to stay for a sit down, and one says a warm smile from a staff member made them double back after walking past.

“Beautiful Italian cafe, Dog friendly Honest, Independent, authentic 10/10 A refreshingly original in a sea of private equity financed chains and blueberry iced match lattes. Must try the moussaka and lemon cream horns ! Staff were friendly and smiley.”

“I walked past completely oblivious, but looked in and Marwan's warm smile made me double back. You should get that guy a fruit basket or something! Lovely ham and cheese crossaint; one the better ones I've tried. Coffee was nicely made too and I was so comfortable I felt inclined to have a nice little sit down.”
