About W5 BARBERS

W5 BARBERS works on a walk-in basis in the W5 area of London, taking no appointments and opening daily. Several barbers work the floor at once rather than a single chair. The cutting covers haircuts, trims and skin fades, and the barbers ask what you want before starting and cut to that request. The interior has been recently fitted out and decorated. A step-free entrance lets visitors with mobility needs get in without a step or kerb. Parking directly outside the shop is limited, so the parking at nearby North Ealing station serves as the alternative for anyone driving in.

Customer Review Summary

Regulars return every couple of months for cuts done exactly as requested, and several say the barbers talk through what they want first, delivering what one describes as a sharp, clean cut without any sense of being rushed. Close behind is the shop itself, called nicely decorated, modern and relaxed, with one customer bringing his son along over more than two years. The negative accounts are pointed. One reviewer asked for a skin fade and left with visible lines and poor finishing, calling the approach old style. Another describes a cut uneven on both sides and reports old hair on the work surfaces and in the drawers along with tools that looked undisinfected. A third recounts explaining what had gone wrong with a previous cut and being told that if he was not happy with the work he should not come there, with no one else in the shop intervening. A longtime regular closes on a different note, recalling the owner handing over a wet tissue after he sprayed perfume in his eye.

“I really wanted this place to work out, especially as it’s right next door to where I live. My first haircut wasn’t great, but I decided to give them another chance. As I was assigned the same barber, I explained what I hadn’t liked about the previous cut, hoping it would help achieve a better result this time. Instead, I was told: “If you’re not happy with the job I do, don’t come here.” I was genuinely taken aback by the response. Constructive feedback should be part of any professional service, particularly in a customer-facing business. What made it more disappointing was that none of the other barbers in the shop stepped in or attempted to diffuse the situation as I was leaving. It’s a shame, as I would have preferred to support a local business. Sadly, based on this experience, I won’t be returning.”

“W5 Barbers is a fantastic spot – professional, friendly, and consistent every time. The barbers really listen to what you want and deliver a sharp, clean cut. The atmosphere is relaxed but stylish, and you never feel rushed. Great value for the quality of service – definitely my go-to barbers in the area”

“Totally very untalented and old style people. Don’t even go there if you looking for a skin fade or any kind of new haircuts. I simply asked for a skin fade and i end up with a weird cut wich u can see still the lines and not good finishing . I wouldn’t recommend this place at all . Was a once time mistake and not again .”

“Welcome to the chop shop where they shear you like a sheep. The haircut was done sloppily it’s uneven on both sides, like a blind person attempting a DIY YouTube tutorial during an earthquake. As for hygiene? Let’s just say the tools haven’t seen disinfectant since the dinosaurs, and there’s a layer of old hair in the drawers and on the work surfaces enough to knit a whole family of wigs.”
