Quick info
About Class Hair Stylists
Class Hair Stylists is a barber shop on Praed St in London, offering both barbering and hairdressing services. The entrance is step-free and wheelchair accessible, making it workable for visitors with mobility needs. Appointments are booked ahead rather than taken as walk-ins, and the shop opens daily. No price list is displayed, so the cost of a haircut is agreed verbally before work begins. Extras such as a wax, facial treatment, or moisturiser are commonly offered alongside a haircut, and it is worth confirming what these add to the final total before agreeing to them.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers overwhelmingly describe unexpected upcharges as the defining issue at Class Hair Stylists, with repeated accounts of a quoted £20 to £25 skin fade ballooning to £45, £70, or £100 once extras like facial waxing, ear and nose waxing, or "special moisturiser" were added without clear pricing upfront, several noting there is no price list displayed and comparing it to haggling "like a market." Alongside the cost complaints, many describe botched results: a medium fade turned uneven or "like a pineapple," a requested mohawk taper left without a proper fade, and a mullet one reviewer says the barber simply couldn't execute. One reviewer, a minor at the time, reports the stylist became physically intimidating, pressing on their shoulder, after objecting to a mismatched caramel highlight and haircut, and another describes skin irritation after a moisturiser was applied without consent. Against this, one longtime customer praises a specific barber, describing consistent, professional cuts across multiple visits over three months. Several reviewers advise asking for the price before sitting down.

“Terrible service, they cut my hair the wrong way I wanted before an important event, I asked for a medium fade, he made my head look like a pineapple, the sides are bald, on top there is a mane like a horse's, and he left bangs, I just look at myself in the mirror with great hatred, I do not recommend it to anyone!!”

“THEY CHARGE YOU EXTRAS. I asked how much it was for a skin fade and they said £25, I sat down and first thing the barber did was immediantly tell me there was something wrong with my hair and I needed some special moisturiser. Due to there being a language barrier and the barber not knowing how to speak english they still went ahead and applied the moisturiser and gave me a hair wash. At the end the total came to £100, he said "Usually, £120 but for you my friend is £100", and tried to also give two hair moisturisers and justified that they were £25 each. The total still came out to an astonishing £45, from the original £25. Never again. On top of that, as you can see from the photo, my skin is irritated. Tldr; They act friendly to get you to comply so that you get charged extra.”

“Worst hair cut ai have ever received...... No professional experience to the barber. He doesn't even know how to do a simple mullet. Worst, worst worst experience.... will never visit again”

“Sadly, the boy who did my fade went too high on one side and lower on the other. Even though I asked him to keep mid fade :( Also, ask for pricing before sitting in the chair. Its like a market - one says £20, another one £25”

“So i was looking for highlights around paddington, and i found this shop where the owner aproach me and told me he could do them, i asked multiple times: do you know how to do them? Do you have caramel colour? He answered after repeating the question 10 times, and i trusted on him. I sat down and started the highlights and i showed him a video with the colour i asked him is this caramel for you? And he told me yes yes this i have, so i trusted that he got the experience and the colour. After 1 hour i got blonde hair, not caramel blonde, he didnt do any heat in the hair or something only the metallic paper, everytime he pushed the hair he was ruining my scalp, then we did the haircut i asked for a mohitaper a haircut from my country, and there wasnt a fade at all, like there was layer with 0, 3 and then the top of the hair. I told him afterwards like brother this is not the haircut i asked you, this is not the highlight from the video and the haircut, he started pressing my shoulder and everything and had to pay full price because i was scared like what im supposed to do at 16 with this type of guys, Edited: i dont know how to answer your review but what about the fade? You didnt do what i did and literally on ur answer you are saying that i asked for caramel and i got another colour like what kind of barbershop is this”
