About Smoke Daddies
Smoke Daddies is a barbecue restaurant at 14 Hildreth St in London, where the kitchen smokes its meats in-house, including brisket, lamb ribs and beef rib. The Foodie Feast Platter is built for sharing and is ordered between two. The menu runs to 41 dishes, so it reaches past the smokehouse into steak, chicken wings, burgers and subs. Chicken N Waffle sits on the same menu for anyone who wants something outside the barbecue range. Sides include rosemary fries, sweet potato fries and hash nuggets, and mac and cheese comes in a brisket version.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out the mac and cheese, and several pair it with the brisket, which one reviewer says melts in the mouth. The sharing platter leaves two people stuffed, and the lamb ribs are called soft by one and overcooked and tough on the outside by another. Steak splits opinion: one reviewer found it cooked perfectly, while another describes a dry, overcooked, chewy cut with no real flavor. A separate reviewer found the beef rib, brisket strips and lamb ribs tender but bland, and the prawns frozen then battered, though the hash nuggets, rosemary fries and sweet potato fries earned praise. Price comes up repeatedly: a sandwich and burger are called flavorful but steep for casual items, and one reviewer found a sub mostly bread for the cost. Others call the portions great for the price. Reviewers describe a chilled, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff, and one parent says the kitchen made a special mac and cheese for their under-two son at a birthday dinner.

“Very disappointing steak. It arrived extremely dry, overcooked, and lacking any real flavor. The meat was tough and chewy rather than tender and juicy, and even the sauces couldn’t save it. Looking at the slices, the steak appeared dry throughout with very little moisture left in the meat. The fries were acceptable, but when you’re ordering steak, the steak should be the highlight of the meal—not the weakest part. For the price, I expected a much better quality cut and proper cooking. Unfortunately, this was one of the driest and most flavorless steaks I’ve had at a restaurant.”

“Food was all very lovely, was impressed. Shared the platter between two hungry men and they were defeated by it! The sub was tasty but quite a lot of bread and rather expensive for what it is (£22.50) Would come back!”

“Lovely outdoor place perfect for summer. The Mac and cheese is really good and the steak. Brisket is soft but could be juicier. I’d skip the ribs. They were overcooked and tough on the outside. Wish they had more gravy type sauces though.”

“Oh my goodness , what an amazing place , I've been there for a first time , and i must say , I would go back many more times . We had my nephews birthday dinner booked , and we had such a great time - honestly food is 10/10, staff hospitality 10/10, atmosphere 10/10. Super great place , it was only one waiter working there , sorry I didn't take name , and he was just super 👍, I don't know how is he managing to serve everyone with 5☆ service. Cheff is top man too ! I had my son with me , and he is under 2 years of age , and they made for him special mac and cheese pasta . We had a such a wonderful experience. Top place . Thank you dearly for making my nephews birthday dinner so special.”

“Fantastic experience all round. The food did not disappoint we got the sharing platter between 2 and both left stuffed. The highlight for me was definitely the brisket which melts in your mouth and the mac and cheese. The atmosphere was very chilled and the staff where extremely welcoming but not over the top. The food quality for the price seems cheap once you actually try it. Will definitely be returning to try more things on the menu! Overall worth my time and coin.”
