Uncle Paulies Pizza
Quick info
About Uncle Paulies Pizza
Uncle Paulies Pizza is a pizza takeaway at 128 Oakfield Rd in Liverpool, and it works as a match-day stop for Anfield because pizza, kebabs and burgers share one menu. That suits a group that cannot agree on dinner. Pizzas include pepperoni in a 10" size, and the kebabs come as chicken, donner or mixed. A chicken burger covers the burger side, and chips are cooked fresh. Orders are placed in store or online. The shop also sells beer. It opens Monday to Sunday and closes on Wednesdays.

Customer Review Summary
Kebabs draw the most praise. One reviewer who has been going to Anfield for years called the kebab banging and now makes the shop a match day regular, another enjoyed a lovely mixed kebab, and a third called the place king of kebabs. Close behind are the cheesy chips, described as the nicest, and a chicken burger one reviewer's son loved, along with generous portions and freshly cooked chips. Reviewers also mention kind staff, and a visitor from Sheffield recalls having a right laugh with them on trips to Liverpool. Pizza draws the sharpest criticism. Two reviewers describe burnt pizzas with barely any toppings and cheap tasting cheese, with pepperoni tucked under the cheese, and another found a 10 inch pizza cost more in store than online, where no prices were displayed. One reviewer reports a chicken kebab that smelled off and was thrown in the bin over food poisoning fears. Even so, one returning customer found the food on point again after several years away.

“Pizza was??? Terrible. Got a pepperoni pizza and first off they put it underneath the cheese, then add on a pepperoni over the cheese on the edges? Honestly was the first red flag. Pizza is just the same as every other quick foody in Liverpool except it’s genuinely terrible. I feel bad leaving bad reviews for local takeaways but when the love is gone how do you expect to enjoy the food. Genuinely if anyone is wanting to give this a go I’d give it a miss. Can’t say for the rest of the menu but the pizza was genuinely the worst i’ve had in a while. Sorry guys! Forgot to take a picture too.”

“Chicken kebab was disgusting. Smelt off. Threw in bin as would have got food poisoning. Disgusting. Donner kebab looked as bad but didn't stink”

“Ordered a Pizza last night. It was nice but after looking at the online prices I can't believe I was charged £10.25 for a 10" pizza that says is £8 online. No prices in the shop so wasn't sure at the time if it was right. Obviously not. Won't be going back after that.”
