Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the views from the 18th floor, taking in Liverpool, the River Mersey and, as one diner puts it, a stretch from Southport to Eryri, with several calling them stunning at night. Close behind are the cocktails, with the watermelon pa low ma and cherry springer described as refreshing and fruity, and one happy hour visit earned praise. Food gets mixed notes. One diner enjoyed the lobster pasta, Bolognese and salmon dishes, and another a burrito, while a critical review found the portions small and the bruschetta tasting like salty tomato paste. Service splits too. Several find the staff friendly and attentive, and one celebrated a birthday arranged beautifully. Others report staff standing at the bar while a booked table waited for drinks, menus that had to be requested, and repeated refusals to move to empty window tables. A couple say the view is hampered by window reflections or looks industrial from most seats, and one notes that reservation signs on every table of a near-empty room left walk-ins unsure where to sit.

“I must say, what an absolutely fabulous hotel and restaurant! Everything was very clean and had a real luxury feel to it. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, which made the experience even better. We had requested a window seat and were pleased to be seated by the window as requested. The atmosphere was lovely — relaxing, classy, and with great music that created really nice vibes. Our drinks also arrived quickly, which was a bonus. There were just a couple of small things that could have been better. We didn’t receive menus as quickly as we expected we was waiting around 5-10minutes and in the end we had to ask a member of staff for them. We also felt that the view from our table wasn’t quite as good as we had hoped because of the light reflecting on the window. We noticed another table with a nicer view was available, but we were told we would need to ask reception about changing tables. As it felt like a bit of a hassle to go and ask, we decided to stay where we were. Aside from those small points, we had a lovely experience. The beautiful surroundings, cleanliness, welcoming staff, relaxing atmosphere and great music made it a really enjoyable visit. I would definitely come back again! ✨”

“Nice enough drinks but the staff aren’t very friendly had one with caked on makeup who just was not friendly at all the entire time didn’t catch her name. Honestly unless your sat in one very small corner of the place your view is just industrial. Overall very overhyped and overpriced for what you get. Btw keeping reservation signs on every table even though you’re basically empty doesn’t make you look any fuller it just means walk ins get confused and can’t sit anywhere.”

“Did not have food so can not rate however came for drinks as staying in hotel which was amazing . Arrived at sky at given table we booked right away and told someone be over to take order .. 20 minute past and no one came however all staff just stood by the bar chatting ! Ended up going up to the bar and having to say excuse me 3 times before staff took notice and took my drink order we were sat in full view of the bar so could clearly see we had no drinks and we could see the staff doing nothing ! Such a let down because the bar feels and looks amazing with amazing views”
