  “Did someone drop the salt pot in all of the dishes tonight. Squid was tougher than an old boot, Singapore noodles was seriously over cooked we've had better super noodles from tesco, the prawn toast was burnt, bbq ribs taste like sweet and sour, I guess we won't be eating here again. Let's hope we don't get ill”

  “Ordered squid with garlic and chilli. £6.80 for 6 tiny pieces of squid. That's £1.10ish per piece of squid. So dissappointed as I've been a customer for over 5yrs. NO LONGER”

  “I ordered a set menu 1 for £10.50 (which nowadays it's a very good price) For that I got: - egg fried rice small - mushroom chicken in black sauce - Hong Kong sweet and sour pork I put half the rice on two plates and put the chicken and pork on each so not to lose the sauce, in effect enough for two people The Hong Kong sweet and sour pork was outstanding and I don't say this lightly Excellent quality pork, batter, pineapple, peppers and one of the best sweet and sour sauces and a good portion (heavy plastic container) The egg fried rice was standard a 7 out of 10, nice The chicken with mushrooms sauce was a little light as I do not have onions in it and the container was therefore a bit light If we consider 50 pence for the bag, £1 for the 3 plastic containers, this means the pork the chicken and the rice containers are more or less £3 each which is a very good price Worth it just for the Hong Kong pork The service was pleasant nothing unusual and very fast The ambience was very good as a big take away with lots of seats and good energy I haven't been inside the kitchen to see if there are rats running around like weatherspoons in crowborough but I trust these people run a reputable establishment as my gut feels great and the food has no funny taste at all The fish and chips shop next to it sells the cod and chips and gravy for £17 a portion, way too expensive, buy from happy house instead 😋 I gave the food 4 stars only because the chicken container was not full because of no onions and the rice could had been spruced up just by adding some cheap peas or something like when the Indian takeaways make the ride coloured with spices I will be visiting soon although even if £10.50 or £3 a tub is cheap times are hard and we all have to get by on reduced items from the supermarket”

  “I ordered my usual “smoked shredded chicken” which is honestly lovely, I was delivered however, salt and pepper crispy chicken: I called the restaurant to let them know; they said they would exchange and send me out the smoked shredded chicken I ordered, and then… delivered me another portion of the salt and pepper breadcrumb chicken. not good.”

  “We had a fabulous takeaway from here. Our usual Chinese takeaway was closed so we ordered from the Happy House and it did not disappoint. The food was delicious and I highly recommend. We all loved it!”
