Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the chicken kebab on chips, with several praising it topped with cheese, chilli sauce or the chicken sauce, which one reviewer calls better than the other chains' versions. Close behind, diners describe the chicken as brilliantly cooked, call the gravy the best, and say the staff are friendly, though one reviewer wishes the large gravy were cheaper. The complaints are just as specific. Several describe frozen-style chips that were chewy, overcooked or burnt, and one found the super sauce watery like thinned stock. Another reports a chalky-tasting kebab with barely any sauce or salad, and a third received a delivery that arrived stone cold with a dry chicken goujon burger and a bap that was not fresh. One reviewer says the woman at the counter was rude and sarcastic near closing and shouted that no fillets were left. A few say the quality has slipped compared with other Herron's branches, and one points to polystyrene packaging that left the burger hard and cold.

“Herron’s Lisburn- Chicken burger hard and cold. The chips in the superchip are mass produced, low potato content frozen variety and were very chewy. Chicken sauce did nothing to mask the texture and taste of the chips. Couldn’t finish the meal. I don’t know what they are doing to the food in the Lisburn branch, but Herron’s in Newcastle County Down are 1st class in comparison. Also, polystyrene packaging containing the chips and burgers is not good! Most takeaways are now using paper-based/cardboard now surely?! I know Newcastle branch was the last time I was there! Very hard to find a decent takeaway in Lisburn.”

“The best CFC in the country. The kebab on chip is unreal. Friendly staff and easy to get to when in Lisburn. Personal favourite is the kebab on chip with cheese and chilli sauce. Their sauce is just better than the others! Highly recommend.”
